There absolutely needs to be more people like him. People like JP have a certain degree of deviancy that allows them to stray from the norms of society. Because of that, he isn't just your typical psychologist because he is also a highly divergent thinker which makes him a fantastic intellectual. It's people like this that pushes the boundaries of society into positive development, not the ones that call it a day and become professors after getting their degrees.

Everybody should listen to this ... your enemies are your best friend, if a person is searching for perfection they must listen to their enemies and take them serious. I think with all this "pride" .. people just telling people whatever they want to hear - this is what created the SJW, trophies for nothing etc. It helps to love your enemy if you realize he is actually your best friend LOL

It might not always apply as simply as that: I am afraid of making mistakes and am arrogant at times. Mostly to cover/protect uncertainty, vulnerability, over-sensitivity-neuroticism (CPTSD + Aspergers), fear of not being heard, attempt to ascertain myself, albeit in a less constructive way. Sawing the branch I''m sitting on. I want to learn how to know whether criticism/mirror of enemies are valid or not. And what to do with a valid part when I am terrified out of my wits at the damage they did to me, unable to alter then what I have to.

Thats fucking brillant, using someone weakness to make him do what you want him too.

I really don't know how to let go of my arrogant thoughts. I have been battling them for years now and, although i have gotten better at recognizing them when they appear (and more than thoughts, it is an attitude, an identity - perhaps what he meant as an archetype here), i still have a hard time fighting them off and centering myself again. Sometimes it's as if they become me or i become them. And while I would exercise them on the outside world before, I now keep them to myself and close myself off into a room when they occur. It is awful, they are vengeful and they are after power. And i am desperate to know how to let them go.

Dude, that's crazy. I actually do have a slightly asymmetrical face now due to an orbital fracture I received from a headkick. I also couldn't see much out of one eye for probably about 3 weeks after in which time I was still concussed pretty badly and spent most of my time in a dark room with my head covered and in pain, experiencing vertigo whenever I stood up. Which is very similar to the Egyptian mythology of losing an eye, descending into the underworld and all that. However, I managed to rise back up and win my next fight in the first round. I'm not making any of it up. I also do have to keep a close watch on my ego. Which is a common problem for people who do these things.

San Jose: I noticed the same thing, he is burning his candle at both ends, being in too high a stress state. I want some of his close ppl to get him treatment/coaching on self-care, or methods to stay more in his Parasympathetic state than teh sympathetic one. HArtd for an idealist who loves to work , but vital for his future, esp when getting older. Gemini is nerve-oriented to begin with,and it's really hard tosee oneself in the middle of activity, since the body does all iut can to serve the person by giving stress hormopnes to manage the high level. At teh same time, it's not always easy to help aman that active and individually strong. One tends to think one can take care of oneself and steer oneself no matter what. I shall contact his friend Ivar Arpi who can maybe talk with him, because I am a knowledgeable unknown burnt-out who would probably be put in the bin as some fan-post. And i have to learn to do that myself...take real care of myself and stabilize before trying to take care of others. ANd not overdo it. Stop heling out of deficiency of energy...Easier to see behaviour in others, since it stands out rather than is entangled in a complex jungle.That's why I am grateful for mistakes of others. They help me see mine..

Not really, because God is a psychological idea whether real or not. Fear of God is the same thing as fear of the hell your life will become if you continue to let your worst impulses rule your decision making. So Hell is real, it's not some place you go after your life but something that you manifest within your life.
@benjamingrant2642
7 жыл бұрын
Walter Strong jist replace the word 'god' with something like 'idea of benevolent being with nothing better to do than watch you your entire life and judge you'. Fear something like that whether it exists or not and you can use that as a tool to sort of willfully 'trick' your mind into making every decision you make an important one...which would also thus bring your conscious mind into the present moment and your world will become more real than if you continued on as an arrogant piece of garbage.

That's a huge exaggeration... play of words. Successful people don't get successful because of archetypes. Archetypes are simply models, everybody knows what they are, the difficulty is how to get up there and resemble that archetype. Nobody is born with or as an archetype. It's just a tautologic and unnecessary example. Archetype is just a stupid, overestimated word.
