Both sound amazing. Hard to tell but I think the Corsa just sounds a LITTLE more pissed off.

I wonder how the track version of the AWE would compare. This is the Extreme Corsa vs Touring AWE after all. Corsa with their never drone systems are usually not going get as ridiculous as a setup like the Kooks or maybe Track AWE setup. Would be interesting to see.

@@null2268 Track version will be really loud and no doubt drone. I would do headers, no cats with Corsa Extreme if I wanted it that loud.

boltfan12 any drone from the AWE setup? I’ve read on the forum that there may be a little bit...did you experience this at all?

@@apt1331 It's so minor I hesitate to even call it drone. The ZL1 1LE cruises at a higher RPM (3k at 80 mph) and you will hear this exhaust above 2,500 but not much. I'm pretty sure if I was driving a regular ZL1 I would say no drone. Just exhaust noise from being at high rpm is all. Corsa was definitely quieter cruising. The blue car had the back seat out and it sounded exactly like AWE. With the seat up it would be quieter. AWE was deeper and probably a little louder on idle. Corsa was louder revving up and at WOT. Hope that helps.

Leaving the Cats in place should not void warranty at all, but there's always that one dealership that could cause issues.

At 0:54 it seems like the Corsa had more cracks and pops but then at 2:30 the AWE comes on stronger than the Corsa with the pops, wierd. Just ordered my AWE track edition yesterday.

Exactly right... Has more to how you let off the throttle than anything. I don't think either of these will give move decel pop than the other. Pretty equal in that respect.

AWE is a much cleaner sound, not a fan of the crackles and pops, just sounds like a muffler delete

Thanks for the video! Which system is actually LOUDER? Can't really appreciate volume. I'm actually looking at the AWE for my SS, but not sure about losing that NPP. How does the volume level compare to the stock "open" NPP exhaust? I realize the ZLE and SS aren't apples to apples but still. -Thanks.

Both systems are exactly the same volume wise for the most part. Corsa may scream just a tad louder at WOT but cruising you won't hear it at all. You will know AWE is there at 2500 rpm and higher where Corsa is quiet. It's really a toss up between these two. I will say I've had Corsa on 2 SS Cars and a ZL1 and love it. This was an awesome comparison but I am still so confused as to which set up I should purchase for my Christmas present to myself. Were you able to use rev-match with both as I love that rumble on downshift. If you did which 1 would you give the nod to? as that may settle the coin toss for me....

Tough question which is why we did the compare. We did not use rev-match on our short drive up and down a near by road. I will say AWE is the one system with modular parts such as resonator and downlink pipes that can be swapped around for different sound levels.

I love both. I am putting the same AWE touring on this week because I like how it sounds more when lifting off the gas. Both sound amazing, and I agree the corsa sounds meaner. Just always thought the corsa was better on built motors. Both awesome!

I am partial to the deeper tone on the AWE (I have a Borla S type now) , but I gotta say that Corsa when accelerating is jizzy

Always a safe choice with Corsa. AWE has some nice configurations you can change up too.

The video says both cars have primary and secondary cats still. Doesn’t the Corsa extreme delete secondary cats with the x pipe? Pretty sure they only have one x pipe option and it deletes secondary cats.

The blue car w/ Corsa has a Borla mid-pipe. Corsa didn't have the double helix full system when it was installed.

On a stock car you will get some decel pop or crackle when you open the valves. If you add one of these two systems it will really start to crackle. Mine does it on every downshift.

@@JZL15017 This is non-resonated touring edition. The cool thing about this system is I can add resonators later if I add headers and want to tame it down a bit. Lots of options. Or I can delete the cats too.
