I mean, just tap off without the show off and there’s never a “glitch,” but yeah - drum lines are so far advanced from when I marched, but without an actual tap height lower than 6-7”. 😊

Watch the video again. You can even slow it down if that'd make it easier to see the taps.

@@juneyellowsnekI can see the tap heights in the group and they're actually not egregious. But the tap heights on the tap off, and really whenever I bust out a crack on current groups' tap heights, it is because when I marched in the 90's, our 3" was 1.5" and our 6" was 3" - so I've earned that "old man, get off my lawn" bit justa little. :-)

Judges don’t care ab that stuff anymore. They focus mainly on sound quality and how clean u play. Technique is more important to play good sound rather than to look perfect while playing.

@@_.lxghthxnds._ You're right. But don't be fooled, we cared a lot about quality of sound and cleanliness, too! The people leading the activity today and I are contemporaries - some taught me, some marched with me, some I've taught. When the look, player to player, isn't consistent, or beads are not in the center of the head, etc. whether the judge cares or not, because they're not on the field anymore, it still isn't great in my book.
