I think he's just not sure what he's supposed to be doing so instead of standing there with a blank stare on his face, he's just making faces. I'm more concerned with the person he said he's building the box for. He mentioned at the beginning that someone asked them to build a subwoofer box for them and then repeatedly reassures the audience that the box is not to spec and he knows nothing about car audio. lol. "So what do you think of the box" "Looks great man but sounds like shit" (Both laugh together)

You could make a really cool clock with the infinity LED effect from the circular pieces of plexiglass and MDF that you cut out for the woofer!

Probably one of the most “Entertaining 😜” videos in you’re collection, which I have spent most of the day today on my couch, iPad on the lap binge watching 95% of the videos on you’re channel. EXCELLENT work and tutorials on you’re projects (which I will be incorporating in my equally as small if not smaller work shop / garage). Keep up the excellent work and I’ll be picking up a shirt or two because they are as funny as they are exact in you’re field. Thanks and keep the videos coming!

Hey, Just a tip... you will get better effect if you use operational inverting amplifier to drive your transistor. You can amplify an audio signal and drive the transistor even with little audio signal. Bipolar transistor needs quite a lot of current to opern - mosfet would be a good way to go but it's harder to control it. With some adjustmest it will go on more often and it won't be needed to play loud music for it to light up. BR,

@@WoodshopJunkies useful phrase to google would be "Active Low Pass Filter with Amplification". Not that complicated and very often there are some assembly kits. Good luck :)

Nicely done. Maybe look up a circuit that drives the transistor from the audio more effectively? It can easily be made with a diode and a few resistor/caps - perhaps do a collaboration with "The Post Apocalyptic Inventor"? Also, perhaps some sound dampening material on the inside should make it sound better too.

Thanks! Like I said in the video, I'm no audio expert. If people enjoy the video, however, I will look at building a better version of it.

@@WoodshopJunkies Check around the web. There are multiple sites with calculators, for sizing your box for your speaker. I built one, for my car. It was a non-rectangular shape and the calculator made it pretty simple. The fiber fill is just puffy batting (pillow fill), from a sewing/fabric shop, or Walmart, if you have one handy. Don't forget the breather/air hole tube, which is sized for your speaker and volume of the box.

When using the ‘Murrah Tent’...try using a tiny drop of washing up liquid, and use it mixed with water in a spray bottle...it makes life ‘mooch butter’ and easier to apply the ‘murrah tent’...😉👍🏻
