We have our own version of this in Philippines. We call it "taho". We usually put caramelized sugar and topioca pearls in it and usually eaten/drink it during in the morning. It became our tradition to chase the taho vendor during morning bcs it gets easily sold out.

in chinese it's called "豆花",it's not "tofu", but sounds like "dou hua", it seems we almost call it in a very similar way

In my country, we usually eat tofu with white bubble which is cooked with ginger and brown suger. I've never tried tofu with dried mushroom before but I'm gonna give it a shot :))) Thanks chef 😊😊

Here in the Philippines, hot silken tofu with caramelized brown sugar syrup is a staple for breakfast. We call it taho and it is served hot by the hawker. Kids love it and adults too.

Lokhaj gypsum helps to create the bean curd. Buy the food grade gypsum on Amazon. They use gypsum to make wine. You can use Japanese nigari, GDL Glucono Delta Lactone, Epsom salt (food grade). They are all tofu coagulators

Hi antrich110, the ratio of soy beans and water used to produce silk tofu is important in this recipe, we can not tell that ratio of the soy milk from local store. So I recommend to follow the recipe we have shown.
