I was an 80s kid so I grew up on old crap like the Jetsons. And the irony of making the comparison was that Hannah - Barbara did almost the same thing. They took old shows and made themed cartoons out of them. Even the Simpsons brought this up, like the Flintstones were the Honeymooners in a stone age setting and Snagglepus was Sargent Bilko as a cat. But atleast they got actors who could replicate the voices. Just taking the audio from the show and building a poor mans Rick and Morty setting around is pretty lame. Golden Girls and Empty nest, ell even Golden palace, were treasures of their time and still hold up today. Even the Gundam clips comparing the original to this coathanger abortion prove it.

I’m Old enough to remember when B Arthur was the shinning star of golden girls before she died and everyone kept referencing Betty Whyte cause she was still alive. Love me some Betty but Bea was awesome.

I support this, actually. I come from the 80s. As a 90s teen, my video games were COMPLETE upon release, not half made and then you gotta pay for the rest of the dlc, which should have been the entire game in the first place. Looking at you, Fallout, Battlefield, No Man's Sky, etc....

This video wants me to see "reimaginings" of other properties tbh. I want to see "yellow submarine" movie set in the civil war era, "From Dusk til Dawn" set in medieval times, "Isle of Dogs" set in WW2, "Se7en" set in 3022, "Evil Dead" set in 1400 Europe... Wait, that already happened with "Army of Darkness". And it was great. I think this could be a good idea if used with the right property.

After starting an episode of "Kitchen Nightmares", I am imagining it taking place in medieval Europe, with Gordon Ramsay as a King. Now I want that to exist.

I have a brilliant Idea too! I call it "Invader Sim". It's Invader Zim who has to now live in a Sims Household. We will move him to a new "KZitem Inspired" Household every Season. There will be Collaborations with EA and Creators. Even YOU can have Invader Sim moving in to YOUR Household! Applause, please!

You think someone who worked on Bojack Horseman would be above this crap. No wonder people don't give a crap about Hollywood anymore. Who is this show for?

This sounds almost exactly like Thundercats Roar! When that was announced the "creator" said the same "I grew up watching..." nonsense too. It's like "I loved the series - let me mutilate it and turn it into a vomit sprinkler!"

This proves my theory. Everytime a legendary actor/actress/writer/etc. dies, Hollywood would swoop down, dig in the carcasses of these ACTUAL talented people and carry the leftovers back so they can continue making money out of something that has already been good. And they don't need permission to recycle ideas when those people are DEAD!

The guy must be younger than me. I grew up watching the Jetsons, along with the Golden Girls when the show was still new. I also willingly watched and enjoyed watching Murder She Wrote. Angela Lansberry is an excellent actress.
