I get that it's only focusing on the bare minimal. But it would have been much more useful if it also included the AWS policies allowing the AWS user to install and set up the greengrass core.

This is super helpful, thanks. Very interested in how you'd get these logs back off the device into Cloudwatch, but I haven't seen the following video(s) yet so maybe you already talked about that

this is a great video, but it is missing a few steps. I can't create the greengrass component because the s3 bucket cannot be reached (error="Specified artifact resource cannot be accessed"). Once I know how to do this, I imagine it would take me 5 minutes. But, the first time takes me half a day of jumping between docs, videos, and missing components in either. EDIT: the bucket has to be created in the same region as the IoT core device!!

Can I skip using an S3 bucket to store the code and, instead, run it directly on the Raspberry Pi to collect sensor data?

How do you intend for the cloud program to deploy the code to your raspberry pi?

I believe you can use a local deployment on the device (via the Greengrass CLI) if you don't want to deploy remotely

Do you have any components available to demo for GG acting as data collector ?

that is annoying. Manual has a tree structure, not linear. I mean: to install GG do tree easy steps A, B and C. I look for step A and it has three easy steps 1, 2 and 3. I go to step 1 and it has three easy steps a, b and c. And so on. I think I am too old for that...
