Provisioning devices with a device certificate so they can communicate securely is an essential component of any IoT project. There are multiple ways to do it with AWS IoT Core and which one works best for you will depend on your use case. In this session, we walk through a prototype built for Provectus Algae, an Australian biotech startup, and explain why AWS IoT Fleet Provisioning was used to onboard bio-reactor controllers to AWS IoT Core. We explain how fleet provisioning works and take you through a hands on demo of how to use Fleet provisioning to automatically onboard a Raspberry Pi to AWS IoT on its first boot.
