This absolute madman spent probably months working on a proper Bad Lip Reading of a stage production, crafting a narrative device around its existence, making a whole new album out of it, and then he just surprise-releases it all on us over the course of a mere week. It takes a special kind of dedication to produce something of this caliber solo. Bravo, Sir BLR 👏

Wow. "Elven Bodyglove" is legitimately kind of terrifying - combining Jonathan Groff's frothing visual performance with a darker tune, along with the unsettling nonsense of the lyrics and those bizarre tonal mannerism shifts. I have watched all 5 segments. I feel this is a very new way of doing musicals. I think some of the story line is quite difficult to follow, but the costumes are Nice. I particularly like the dialogue and the use of the songs really contribute to make it very emotional. Interesting rhythmic devices too, which seemed to counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor. One is left with a profound and vivid insight into whatever it was the play was about.

@@sp1ssmuss Sweet Fuelin' was quite beautiful. And Nuts was indeed nuts. BLR has already set a pretty damn high bar, but Axe-Assassin Albertson has exceeded that. It's his finest work yet, IMO.

I was waiting for King George, and man was it worth the wait. Like a terrifying android that will haunt my waking dreams with its ear worms even more than the original did.

I have spent years deciphering the story of this play and today, I bring to you the true cannon. A young boy named Albertson is a failing comedian who is told by his mentor, George Washington, to clean the sewer place instead of pursuing his comedy career. In the sewer place, Albertson encounters a doppelganger and is wooed by it like a siren. After falling in love with the doppelganger and living with it for years as Albertson continues to improve his comedy, the Doppelganger reveals itself to Albertson. Albertson manages to escape the encounter but is forever shaken by it. Against the advice of the Stone Creatures, he vows to destroy all doppelgangers after they kill his children, Jacques and John, and renamed himself as Axe Assassin Albertson. He continues to hunt these doppelgangers 93 times a year until his final encounter with Barber Dan (King George) the ultimate doppelganger. George Washington, after many years of training Albertson goes off to hunt for the Peruvian Oak. Unfortunately, Barber Dan petrifies him using stinker paint. Barber Dan delivers a monologue of sheer madness in an attempt to confuse Albertson, but the Lumberjack of Fear persists. He defends himself from Dan as he steals all of his drumsticks. Without the drumsticks, Barber Dan is left with no power to control his Doppelganger army. After this ferocious battle, the mighty Barber Dan is left with nothing but his distaste for home made hot sauce and his candy. Following this, Axe Assassin Albertson finally retires his search for vengeance.

So the Axe-Assination is just implied. Don't know whether it's a metaphor or I should be disappointed...

This felt surreal, because I knew exactly what he was saying at every moment, but I could also see him saying what the BLR video was saying...

2:20 gave me chills. It is terrifying and also hilarious at the same time. It is also so much funnier if you know the original song.
