Ratricharya or what happens beyond sunset is the last part of ones day. Sleep varies depending on our body types, Kapha body types need lesser sleep, whereas Pitta body types need about eight hours and Vata needs the most.
However how it actually works is the reverse, where Kaphas tend to sleep the most and Vatas and Pittas have disturbed sleep due to their prakruti or characteristics.
The size of ones bed should be till their knee height as per Ayurveda.
Ayurveda also recommends the one drinks a glass of milk before going to bed to help curb hunger and since it directly replinishes the reproductive tissue.
Sexual activity according to Ayurveda should be after dinner and before going to bed. One must shower and cleanse their body after any sexual activity before finally resting for the night.
