The sound of Morning Doves will forever remind me of being a child in Phoenix. It's the most recognizable bird call for me.

It's a fabulous video! In the beginning, the sound balance is splendid! As the video advances (2:50), the bird calls seem to grow quieter, while the music gets louder. When one is trying to learn these birds' specific calls, the lovely but competing music makes it much tougher to give singular auditory focus to the quieter birds' calls. It imposes competing tones when we're trying to isolate the one, to commit it to memory.

Thank you! I'm getting ready to move to AZ from Europe and I'm going to miss the blackbird song. However, there are many beautiful songs as well! And some are even similar to the blackbird's.

Thank you for this video. I live in San Tan valley and ive seen a few of these in my back yard feeder. These include Mocking birds, curbed billed tharashers, white winged doves, aberts tohees, mourning doves, house finches, long tailed grackels, road runners, collared doves and gambels quails. The ones that are abundant the house finches, doves and grackels which are a very aggresive bird.

00:56 *Mourning Dove, not "Morning Dove." This bird has iridescence that reminds one of Pigeons. To the best of my knowledge, Doves don't have iridescence. -?-

It’s against birding ethics to use recordings to attract birds - uses up the energy they need to reproduce, care for young, and escape predation.
@jonerikrolf2029

I believe that you are making a very broad generalization about ethics and any and all types of the use of bird recordings to attract birds either during nesting and offspring rearing weeks and the many more number of weeks without reproductive/ parental activities including migration. I have only been present when bird calls were employed by a international well regarded ornithology expert in remote locations where resident birds are only likely to even interact with a human for a few minutes once or twice a year. This is not unethical birding.

Great photography. Appreciate the varied poses of each bird and how you flash the name for each. I'm a birder from Ohio preparing to move to Arizona next year just for the birds so am presently trying to learn visual ID in advance for 158 Arizona birds we don't have in the north east.

Well, it's lovely music, but I agree it's too loud. It competes for auditory focus. If it were just a video, then it wouldn't matter, but some of us are trying to learn to identify the bird-songs. That means the ear being able to single out each bird's specific tones and rhythm. When there are conflicting tones, it makes it a lot tougher.

@@patspeer6468 The sound balance was great in the beginning, but as the video advanced, the calls got quieter and the music grew louder. Maybe you can give folks the benefit of not jumping to conclusions that they need hearing aids.
