Azaklı Hoca Village. Hi.
Today, in our Eastern Black Sea Series, we will turn 10 km north from the road and visit a village connected to the Rize Center to see what the Rize Villages are like. Of course there will be a bit of turmoil. Having come this far, it is not possible to pass by without stopping by our village.
The ancients knew this place as Sikrik and still use it as such. The village, whose name was mentioned as Sikrik/Sikrik in the Trabzon Province Yearbook in 1876, is mentioned as Azaklı Hodja in the Ottoman source in 1913.
At the time of the name change, when a suitable name could not be decided, the nickname of the popular imam of the village, Azaklı Hoca, was finally decided and became the name of the village.
The economy of the villages in Rize is generally based on tea agriculture. Animal husbandry is not done commercially. However, some of the village people keep cattle to meet their milk and oil needs.
There are 2 tea factories in the village, one of which belongs to Çaykur and the other to the private sector.
Let's leave you alone with the magnificent view and see you in the new episode, have a pleasant watching.
