"Mousou ni Shisou (妄想に死す)", 2000.
Azalea formed in 1997. Late that year, original guitarist Asuyu (明透遊) left, and was replaced by Seana. Immediately afterwards, the group signed to the iconic indies label, Matina, and went on to release two demos throughout 1998, and also appeared on the "Scene 2" omnibus later that December. In January of 1999, Azalea appeared on the "New Age Culture ~Dai ni Gakushou~ (第二楽章)", and also appeared on the "Decadence" omnibus later that June. In August of 1999, Azalea released its first two singles: "Fetish ~Sadist no Higeki~ (Sadistの悲劇)" and "Fetish ~Masochist no Kigeki~ (Masochistの喜劇)", and had developed a respectable indies following for their gothic, alternative metal sound. In April of 2000, Azalea appeared on the "Prelude" omnibus, and later released its third single, "Mousou ni Shisou (妄想に死す)", that June. Although the single circulated extremely well among the visual underground, Azalea ended up disbanding later in 2000. Frontman Hina (ヒナ) and drummer Yuki both formed the equally legendary indies band, Sally (サリー), later known as Schellen. When Schellen ended up splitting by early 2003, Hina and Yuki went their own ways, with Hina fronting the well known indies band Chelsea, and Yuki joining the legendary visual band emmurée. Yuki is still a member of emmurée today, although Chelsea disbanded by late 2005. After Chelsea, Hina then formed Hurts, which ended up folding in 2008. He then temporarily fronted the indies band Schwein, before forming his own solo project, Lucifer's Underground, which appears to still be active today.
