If the world judges agree to give her 8.433E, then it's a sign again that artistry and fluidity can offset the lack of huge tumblings.

Not really a good thing, imo. A premium floor should have everything. This is just letting the world know that you can score well with 80s tumbling lines.

well her tumbling is extremely clean besides the landing of the triple...

It's a good sign. Today Julia Soares from Brazil got gold in Stuttgart Cup over US Joscelyn Roberson. Again FIG is saying that clean and precise acros, artistry and fluidity must beat routines full of difficulty but with crappy execution and zero artistry.

I'm a little confused as to what the complaint is here. Her E-score and her D-score are separate. She didn't have a difficult tumbling program, but her form and landings on her four passes were clean, apart from the landing on her triple twist. She's getting good height on her tumbling, even though she's doing all D and E skills (plus her combo pass, which looked like two C's linked together). The E-panel can't deduct her for lack of difficulty. Also, a 13.633 isn't a premium floor score. It wouldn't have given her a medal at the last World Championships. She would've come in 6th on the floor final, behind Naomi Visser. I'm also not convinced that she would've gotten such a high E-score at World or Olympic level, given some form issues on her leaps, but in terms of E-score deductions, she's not giving away too much during her tumbling, except on that triple.

@@pedrojorge1912 She got gold because Joscelyn was robbed of a composition requirement that she rightfully fulfilled. It’s just FIG sending a message they hate power gymnasts and if you aren’t confined to the Eurocentric artistry and aesthetic standard, then you will be unjustly penalized at all costs.

What happened with her scoring? The change in it was quite significant, did they submit an inquiry?

My guess is that the judges initially downgraded her triple twist (E) to a 2 1/2 twist (D) and then didn't count her last pass towards her D score, since that's also a 2 1/2. You have to count the eight most difficult elements towards your D-score, including your dismount/last pass, and you can't count the same element twice. Anyway, since the initial D-score panel likely only credited her with a 2 1/2 for the pass, she would have had to count an element that she probably only intended to use as a connection or to meet her leap series. Since her last pass was the intended 2 1/2 twist, it might not've counted as her dismount, which means that she would've had to count her third pass (two C skills linked together) as her dismount. This matters because the current CoP gives gymnasts a 0.2 bonus for doing a D skill or higher for their final tumbling pass. So, she would've also lost out on that bonus. I'm guessing that the judges decided that her second tumbling pass was rotated over 2 3/4 of the way when they watched the video again in slow motion--they have to judge in real time otherwise--and that would have significantly raised her D-score.

I’m fine with this execution score because she has the artistry and actually executes her tumbling well. But somehow at worlds Gadirova got similar E-scores with poor form and landings compared to Chiles…

@@SilvermoonProductions lol if that's the best response you have it shows that you know she should not have won...this is gymnastics, we are still not over Kui Yuanyuan being robbed of beam gold in 1997 but you think we're going to get over something that happened 4 months ago? No, I will complain until they change the code
