Wow, the support structure for the tip gear got pushed up through the upper wing skin. Yikes. They can easily fix that on a display plane. Just scab patch some aircraft aluminum onto it and it'll be fine. Put it on wet with sealant and paint it to match. Overall the aircraft looks like it came through it as good as can be expected.

If it needs parts, there's a place in NM. The winds from this tornado was at least 100 MPH to move this.

That's what I was thinking on the wind speed. Thank you for the heads up on parts

If you are thinking of Davis Monithan, it is in Arizona.

So if the winds were in the 75 - 80 mph range and if a fully loaded B-52 has a takeoff speed of 120 knots she would have been pretty light in that wind. Sure does not look like the skid marks that would be left from dragging 200,000 pounds across wet grass. I have visited this plane many times over the years, my dad flew in the 4039th until it was renamed the 416th in the early 60's. Always bothered me that the flaps were left in the down position.

Thanks, I was wondering what rotate was for this plane. Maybe the gusts were higher than 75-80.
