I recommend your work on this analysis. However, I believe that relying on Venezuela, Brazil, and Russia as comparative economies for assessing the long-term effects of a floating exchange rate might not yield robust conclusions. Given their heavy reliance on natural resource exports, their economic trajectories and responses to such a policy shift could differ significantly from ours. Additionally, temporal discrepancies in the implementation of floating exchange rates between these countries and our own may hinder comparative analysis. I suggest considering more recent case studies for a more accurate assessment. The case of Sudan and Nigeria will show the closest speculation regarding the effect.

This is one of the best explanation about the situation that will be unfolding following the exchange policy change just introduced. 👍

I highly admired your presention and skills regrding Economics Whixh Relate The Currwnt Ethiopian Economy
Because the government works and economomist talk. Your economist should focus on the economic culture of Ethiopia. "Si shom yal Bala sishar yiqocawal" is a culture where a worker takes much more than the wedge they work for. If the work output doubles from what it is today, and the government builds capacity like it started doing, Ethiopia will be okay. Ethiopian economists will then focus on where the focus should be: Ethiopia, not the projection of doom and gloom.
Question! What is the implications of this policy in the light of depolarization and the floating idea of common currency in BRICS; and Saudi's abandonment of the petrodollar agreement!!
The economic development policy is not new. It is not as old as the police system. However, it is not questionable when looking at the current situation in Ethiopia. Citizens' right to live is in great danger and they cannot move from place to place. When the farmers are not provided with the required resources and cannot cultivate the fields properly, when the living conditions of the consumer society are very chaotic. It is not timely to activate this economic reform in a situation where the existing situation is in danger, where the trader does not know and apply the appropriate business system (skillful marketing), and there is anarchy. If there is an issue that we can reconcile with, the government will be under the pressure of debt and the influence of lenders.

Great analysis but your way of presenting isn’t coherent and lacks the power to grab attention. Hence, I advise you to prepare well before presenting and use notes in presenting.
