In both the disease #PCOD and #PCOS sounds are similar, but they are slightly different health conditions. Both conditions are caused due to hormonal imbalance and ovarian overproduction, there are few differences in the consequences of the same.
The overproduction of androgens in ovaries causes hormonal imbalance which is called PCOS and the overproduction of immature eggs in ovaries causes hormonal imbalance which is called PCOD. The impact on fertility is high in PCOS compared to PCOD. PCOS leads to pregnancy with the risk of miscarriage and premature birth, and PCOD leads to pregnancy is possible though it gets delayed.
