We make this for so many years in our home, sabji way, snack way with Chai, snack anytime as well when hungry. My nanee and mother has taught us different recipes but I love to eat with lasoon ki chutney and chai omg I think I will make this tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

My mother used to make this and i also tried few times .. it’s absolutely yummy and goes nice with bajari roti 🫓 in winter.. in kathiyawad (Rajkot) we call it Dhokadi nu Shak 😋

This dish is also made in UP and is known as “Rasajhe”, however we pour the batter of 1cup besan and 3cups water in the pan and whisk it till it becomes just like the ones you steamed... The Pitod or as we call it in UP, Rasajhe can give a tough competition to paneer with its richness.

Humarey yahan the batter is whisked in a pot over a flame till it becomes like a thick paste or phir usko ek oiled tray per phaila detey hain, jab tak hard hota hai, gravy bana letey hain with little dahi then besan k squares cut kar k gravy mein daal k paka letey hain. Chapati k sath shaandaar lagta hai.

Looking very yummy.. iam from Rajasthan I used to cook pithod ki sabji.. Ranveer please try hari mirch ki kadi it’s a traditional curry of Rajasthan and it is very tasty ..boil green chillies and grind with garlic . Then make a mixture of dahi and besan .In kadai pour some oil add jeera hing green chilli garlic paste . Add turmeric salt and coriander powder.. cook it 2 min then add besan dahi mixture .. cook it on low flame for 45 min .. add dhaniya at last .it is so yummy kadi ..please try

In maharashtra, we have a bit similar type but with spicy gravy calling it 'Patavadi rassa' (पाटवडी रस्सा) There is one more version called 'masavadi rassa'(मासवडी रस्सा)which is stuffed besan rolls in triangle shape in spicy gravy. You should try that, tastes delicious.

Jisme Besan me प्याज, moyan aur masale dal ker tikkiya bansi jati hai aur fir pyaz tamatar ki gravy me use 40 45 minute tak low flame per banaya जाता hai. Ye bahut tasty banti hai लेकिन process thoda lamba hai 🙂♥️

As a gujarati....besan is common when mother is tired or bored.....but besan cook like this way ...is delicious....hamare yaha chhas me pakate hai aur usme boiled drumstick aur garlic dalte hai.....baki sirji....aap to aap ho......aur kahu to god is great.....lots of love and respect sirji

As you asked about putting different forms of besan ,in Sambalpur (odisa ) people used to follow the same besan cubes or cuboids and put them into a curry and this how they call them besan tarkari 🥲.

Amazing video, thanks for this recipe! I'm your fan from Netherlands. Recently we went to France, and there they sell a very popular dish called "socca". It's nothing but Indian besan ka chilla, but without any spices or onion or garlic. It's just simple besan, dahi and salt turned into crepes and sold in streets as a popular street food (you'll find it more commonly in Southern France, French Riviera side). You can cover that recipe but with an Indian twist! 😉 And you can also share the history of Socca, maybe it traveled from India? Who knows 😅

Ranveer chef...When you are eating towards the end of video...my 3 year old daughter observing you keenly...said in serious tone as if directly talking to you, " khate time ni bolte naaaa ! " 😄 And want to mention one more thing my seven year old son loves to watch you cooking...and he danced for the very first time when he was just 9 months old on the tune of you cooking show "ranveer cafe" on living foods channel. We have this thing called 'Gola bhaat' where besan dumplings are added in the cooker with raw rice. Once the rice gets cooked, you eat it with smushed besan dumplings

UP Mein aur MP mein lapta banta hai besan ka.. Aur MP mein aate ki gravy jaisi dish banti hai called Lachka by adding banana leaf ash for alkalinity... India is so diverse... My father was from UP but because of being in army his major chunk was in MP.. So I got to taste and learnt to cook both side dishes.. Thank you sir aapki ye dish mujhe bachpan ki yaad dilati hai..
