It really is! This is the first suppressed firearm in a centerfire cartridge that I have ever felt was truly "Hollywood" quiet!

From my end, the breathing of the operator sounded louder than the escaping gasses. What a cool.

Yeah! The joys of having a high sensitivity mic right below your mouth! I love hearing my own gasping for breath! LOL

Can you make a video with the .45acp version?

Could you do a follow up video using sub-sonics say 147gr
@LegacyArmsIntl

I can definitely do that in the future with both 147 and 165 grain subsonic. I didn’t do that this time around because I feel like all suppressors are a lot quieter with subs and really wanted to show what this can do with standard ball ammo.

Cool piece! There's something just visually interesting about the cylindrical design too, instead of the regular boxy look of modern pistols. There was an audible hiss with the wipes, right after you fire and the gasses kinda squeeze out of the wipes, then an almost thumping sound as you pulled back on the bolt, like pulling off the cap of a pressurized bottle. 😅

I completely agree with you. I was really excited to see that the mic captured that. When I was shooting with hearing protection, it was so quiet and I didn't think that the mic would be able to capture that.

I would definitely get one of these, but my State doesn't permit suppressors. Shame, very cool collectable.

I wonder what the sound difference is between the 9mm and 45 acp versions. 45 acp is moving slower but is also a significantly bigger hole.

I own both the 9mm and .45 and the .45 is definitely quieter. As you mentioned, standard ball ammo is already subsonic, and then they make subsonic rounds which are even quieter. Both are pretty incredible guns though.

I looked this up and the name "Station 6" is an homage to the special operations factory in which the first Welrod pistol was manufactured. Cool little easter egg there I guess.

Velocities of your test rounds? Kind of important for a test like this? Yes, it is important. Sorry you missed giving that information. Thank you for the video.

Thanks for the advice Ted. I am not running tests, but rather showcasing firearms in my personal collection that people normally don’t get to see. I own every gun I showcase… no borrowing or renting from others and I pay for everything… no gifts or “influencer BS”. I have a collection of pretty unique firearms and just feel like others may enjoy seeing them as much I enjoy shooting them. The ammo used for this video was PMC 115gr FMJ and their website lists it at 1150 fps but I did not chrono it nor do I plan to. Just doing this for fun and leaving the science of it all to others that enjoy that aspect of it more.
