B*Witched were a big part of what made the 90s so great for people like me. Such good times!

@@DN-me8mt Not just the song, the band itself were pure 90s, but C'est La Vie was very much a 90s anthem. Don't expect you to understand if you were born after this time.

Can we just appreciate that these girls never stop moving at any point of this song? I guess it helps when they're lip synching the song. Still a very impressive athletic achievement nonetheless.

I'm a drummer and I think I'm a genuine fan of music. The verse in this song is cool in that it has a slick groove between all the parts. The keyboard heavy synth pads are a cool feature, the drums are heavy and deep in the pocket of groove making and the vocal line is in this appropriate slinky mid range half sung and half spoken syncopated flow. The bridge has intriguing chord changes where the vocal group come together over interesting chord changes. The chorus however... And me being honest and sharing my thoughts on what I love about music...is dreadful. Flat, and uninspired. It's a terrible hook and I'm disappointed as a music fan because the verses and pre chorus are movements I actually like and appreciate in this song. The chorus is flat and dry. a real let down and the reason why I cannot get behind a group like this both back then and even now. The fact that no music producing ear found way to elevate this track further is all I need to know that this group was sell out by design. I'm sorry but the chorus sucks! Take for example take that who had equal promotion but superior chorus writing. I cannot respect any group who allowed a chorus like this before their hit! I must repeat again, the verses in this song really hit the mark for me. Cool and slinky. The pre chorus a well composed musical change and transition. The chorus though noxious and a major put off. I imagine no one here agrees with me, and I don't judge your opinion. But the chorus is underdeveloped and really weak compared to the other sections and I think that's clear as day for anyone with musical ears.
