A M what’s wrong with hitting a tuned rev limiter ? It’s not the highest capable rpm the engine can reach just a programmed fuel and timing cut point... rev limiter is what saves engines lol not destroys them.

it was a stock b20 block type r oil and water pump ARP head studs cosmetic head gasket stock type r head skunk 2 tuner 1 cams skunk 2 ultra manifold 70mm TB gram 1000cc injectors plm tri y header dry direct port nitrous system

Sarkin Makanda my jdm stock block lower comp b20V Jdm 96 R head and cams 96 R trans stock R injectors and stock civic pump did 190/145wheel on s100. but was dropping fueled pressure up top. sold pro 2s for 2000 jdm R cams. thought they were the limit, tuner 1s are really the same cam as a newer jdm ITR/CTR cam. I've heard of cars on pro 1s and 2s on stock b20v setups with stock pistons. but there has to be p2v contact up high. And erthing is holding you back trying to cam a stock b20v. the lack of compression a big cam needs, and the lack of rpm capability you'll need. an LS motor would be better to ctr piston, ARP rod bolts, vtec girdle, head package a vtec head, and big cam. and it'll make big power and have 10k rpm ability. 81.5 or 82mil is perfect. b20v motors are lower rpm tq motors. kept my rev limiter at 7700 after tune, spun 8 or 8100 on dyno. with a R head. it was just getting started. so nitrous makes perfect sense for a b20v. big tq. fast. a 100wet on a stock JDM ls makes more tq than power. and a fresh stock motor with a great tune on a 100wet should last for years with a clutch and plugs. great setup bro, this bitch pulls hard from way low, I love it. prolly a low 11s high 10s car on tires.

Deric McGuffie I know for a fact tuner 1 and ctr aren't the same. I've also seen a lobe plot of tuner 1 and pro 1 and they are very close up until about .300 lift in the intake and the pro 1 takes off from there to about .500 lift or something like that. Pro 2s have worked on stock block without any issues plenty of times. If you don't have compression use your intake manifold and header to help with velocity. I've seen many stock block b20 vtec setups with aftermarket cams so the limiting factors aren't as bad as people think. I have a different method of achieving power and overcamming with the pretense of extending rpm range to 10k isn't one of them. If you ever get a chance, check out how engines do on regrind cams with better flowing supporting mods.
