Baba Budan Giri is a mountain in the Baba Budan Giri Range. It is in the western ghats of Chikkamagalur district, Karnataka, India.
Baba Budan Giri got its name from a Sufi Saint named Baba Budan, who came to India to spread the message of Islam and peace. According to saga it is said that Baba Budan introduced coffee to India.
Baba Budan Giri Range is also known as Chandra Drona Parvatha for its natural crescent moon shape. The best time to visit Baba Budan Giri is during winter season and post monsoon months.
A very rare flower called Kurinji blooms in this mountain region once in 12 years. Nature, photography, trekking lovers find this place amusing.
