Had a good laugh at the penny candy that is now 50 cents! This is one of those iconic spots that you see so many images of - the mill there at Babcock, looked beautiful. I know I have said it before but it bears repeating, the editing and flow of your videos are just excellent. I really feel that I am coming along for the adventure - in fact wishing that was the case! - and when you were coming through the rocks and your son covered his head, that had me nervous and on edge! Another great one, so many little comments you throw in that make me smile, laugh, and nod in agreement, and yes I love West Virginia🙂

The Glade Creek Mill is really something special! I wish it was running when we visited, but maybe next time. It was really a beautiful place nonetheless, and I was very happy to finally visit. I thought it was pretty neat to see Willy hold his hand up like that in the footage, obviously I had no idea he was doing it at the time. It’s surprising how smart kids are and that they know how to react to stuff like that. I appreciate the compliments about my editing, I do spend quite a bit of time working with the footage. Sometimes I wish I had better shots to work with, but circumstances don’t always allow me to spend the time filming. I try to compensate for that with the editing which it’s easier for me to make the time for and focus on.

It’s a very special place, no doubt, and it almost doesn’t matter what angle you look at it, it’s just awesome!

I was happy to hear that you may be getting a drone. It’s a game changer. I love all the shots in the beginning where you freeze framed the destination signs. The waterwheel looked awesome. What a beautiful hiking area too. I won’t touch the snails. 👍

Yes, definitely getting a drone, especially after seeing this footage and what it brings to the films. I’m going to get the pilot license here soon and go from there.

Another excellent adventure featuring Crouch and the family, every shot of a flower or waterfall I imagined you crawling around haha, anyways really enjoyed this video as always that park has been on my list for years now everything from the mill to the streams looked right out of a book, West Virginia is one of the most underrated states that's for sure. Your camera seemed extra "crisp" in this video and of course I loved the time lapse from the rock towards the end. Keep it up buddy!

I know I was on the ground more than once putting this together! I thought the footage looked really good as well. At some point this summer I changed some settings on the camera, but I can’t remember when that was. I’m now assuming it was right before filming this. I need to start taking better notes on such things so I remember them.

The mill area was so beautiful. Looks like something you'd see on a postcard. The island in the trail hike looked like a really fun to hike going through all those rocks. We have only explored New River Gorge area in West Virginia so we really need to see more of the state. Looks amazing!

I would imagine there’s a postcard or two with this scene on it. Babcock State Park butts right up against New River Gorge NP, you’d get off an exit or 2 before the bridge to get here. The whole area is definitely spectacular!

I’m struggling with all the GPS apps. It’s very frustrating and they’re getting worse and worse. Very beautiful spot though, well worth the visit.

Great video. We go to New River Gorge area 2 or 3 times a year...so will be checking to see how close this is and check it out. I love seeing the old structures that have stood the test of time. I love crawling through the rocks...grew up going all through Bilgers Rocks in Grampian. Your son took the head bump like a trooper. Love the family outings for sure!

Babcock State Park butts right up against New River Gorge NP. It’s 1 or 2 exits before the bridge depending on where you’re coming from. Definitely try to get there when the mill is operational, that would be really cool to see!

I am camping in babcock state park next week Tuesday, then moving on to Seneca Rocks and camping there for 2 days. Also, Apple maps is the worst for using gps lol I use waze for that. If I am just driving around and don’t need a route I use apple maps on my car play because it looks better than waze but still have waze in the background to hear notifications of hazards and cops.
