I'm scared to death of mandrilles. My husband encouraged me to feed them at a zoo in the 1980s. I put nuts in my hand so the babies could reach through the wire and take them, just as other visitors were doing. But the big male right across the enclosure came bounding so fast, thrust his hand through the wire and snatched everything from my palm. I was left with three long lines of blood and scratches across my palm. I will never go near them ever again! How he got his hand through the wire with such precision at such speed was incredible. I was left shaking. No more mandrilles for me.

@@indyreno2933 - dude, let me give you an example. Lions and tigers belong to the panthera genus, but any sane person would never say that a tiger is a lion. The reason is they look totally different. Heck, look at their skulls and overall anatomy and you will see they are not the same. Same story with mandril and baboon. They both look different and have different anatomy. BTW, nice copying and pasting. Did you get it from Wikipedia?.

@beachboy boobybuilder, actually, the Panthera genus does not include the snow leopard, tiger, or jaguar, the snow leopard and tiger both now belong to the genus Uncia, whilst the jaguar belongs to the genus Jaguarius, thus leaving the Panthera genus to only contain the leopard and lion.
