Black bear mom and her two cubs checking out the trash can right out the back door.
Bears have been getting in our trash a few times over the 6 years we lived at this house in Virginia. This is the first time I caught them in the act. Woods border our property in the back and the front is a narrow two-lane road and then a steep drop down to the river. I believe the bears go back and forth in search of food (that includes residential trash) and water.
We appreciate you tagging along on our Alaskan adventure.
Some interesting things you might see on the channel are, black bear family visiting the house for a quick bite, baby chickens hatching, generator repair or the property that we bought and moved to in Alaska!
