Thank you for explaining so well. I heard lot about BLW but I wasn’t convinced to introduce it directly as first solid food. The way you started it makes more sense, it’s good for baby and more safe. Thank you for all your knowledgeable videos 🙏🏼

Before 1yr, does the chutney and other food have salt in it? Or you cook separately. Wanted to know when will kids transition to the food same as adult ones.

Hi mam. I have a query. I started giving my baby finger foods after 8 months completion. She grabs it and throws but doesn’t eat . She expects me to feed her and doesn’t try on her own . Can u tell me where I’m going wrong ?

Best video to start with BLW. Gives more strength to go ahead. I have a question - how do you teach her or find her if she s hungry? Go with the schedule or go with her hunger cues? And is it possible to set up new routine for a 1.5yr old son as i feel there's no proper routine but we are going along with his cues, and since he is playfully running away even for handwash,i don't end up following the schedule on any day 😓

One more important question- how do you make her sit in one place while eating? Mine takes a bite, and wants to run somewhere, get the bite few mins later, if i keep saying him to eat, i see reverse action 😅
@myhealthykiddoEnglish

I follow routine and I stick to it daily.. As we all eat at the same time, baby is no exception.. They easily get adapted to family schedule, if followed regularly.. If baby isn't hungry , she will eat less and catch up in the next snack/meal time..
@myhealthykiddoEnglish

As mentioned in the video, high chair helped me to make her sit and eat from the beginning.. Also, we eat as a family and so she too loves to be present in the family time rather than to run away..

@@myhealthykiddoEnglish thank you for the reply 😊 i understand that how much the family meal is important for babies to have good eating habits. After watching this video, 2day i tried to make him sit in one place for snack, i sat along with him and he did it, i kept insisting him not to move away till he finish that half biscuit (not so rude though)😅 he cooperated well. I will try to stick to routine and be consistent, so he will understand when to play and not to play during mealtime😊😊

This is the exact answer i want to know! I wait for him to show his hunger cues and so the schedule delays everyday, so sometimes we eat and he plays and wants to get bites from us even if it's only 10 mouthfuls, we left with no choice but to offer cos he asks us to feed him. I also tried to offer lunch in a small bowl, which i use only for porridges and it worked with rice too🤩 thanks much. Hugs to kids ❣️❣️

Hi, i liked this method of weaning and am planning to start it once my baby completes 6 mths. I checked all the food charts . I noticed there is hardly any finger foods. Which month did you introduce finger foods to baby. Did you introduce it while you were still feeding the baby meals with your hand. Just wanted some clarity so i can do the same for my baby
@myhealthykiddoEnglish
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you.. Finger food need not be something different. As I have mentioned in the video, just tear wheat dosa pieces and it is a very good finger food.. Any fruit is a fingerfood.. There is no specific month to start with finger food. Even when feeding traditionally, you can give the veggie piece to the baby to try on own. Try all possible fingerfoods like fruits, veggies, snacks..Once the baby is comfortable eating with hand, you shall gradually encourage to pick and eat.. Happy weaning..

An adult has to be always present with the baby, even when the baby is self feeding.. Clean food near nasal area.. Baby will learn sooner..

Some babies might not like to be tied up when eating. If you see in my videos, I have shifted from high chair to low chair so that baby can sit freely without being tied up. Do not force the baby. Let the baby sit in the flour, if comfortable. Try to gently switch to chair without forcing

Hi shyama... My baby is going to complete 6 months in three days... After seeing ur food chart I have started with steamed apple juice, carrot juice, rice starch water to my baby. He doesn't know to swallow the water only 1 or 2 tsps of liquid is going inside his mouth rest is wasted. He sits with support. I tried to give hand smashed food for trial he gags and pushes the food out with his tongue. I know every baby takes his own time. But I am worried whether he has some pbm with taking food.
@myhealthykiddoEnglish

Babies will just have 1 or 2 tsps initially .. No worries.. For some babies, tongue thrust lasts for 6.5 months.. Just don't worry.. Just keep trying 1 or 2 tsp until the baby is comfortable in eating more...

Hi ur video is very informative I want to ask u one question my baby is 21 month she still ask for the screen time with food and in food I feed her soft food she doesn’t know the eating her self and doesn’t even take bottle can u please guide in this way what should i do ? 🥺
@myhealthykiddoEnglish

As you have already introduced screen during food, u have to gradually reduce it.. Say that TV is not working or no charge in phone or some reason and avoid screen while eating.. Self feeding has to gradually started without any forcing.. Try giving ur child's favorite food and encourage to eat on own.. Starting with one or two soons on own, slowly the child will pick it up .. no hurry

Forcing will create aversion and the situation won't get better. Babies can't stay hungry. They will eat when they are hungry..

Hi. When did u move from traditional to baby led weaning slowly ?? Nd how ??
@myhealthykiddoEnglish
Жыл бұрын
I have covered that in this video.. When weaning traditionally, I also gave her finger foods ..Started with fruits and then gave wheat dosa pieces and whatever she could grab and eat.. Once she is comfortable eating these finger foods, then slowly tried other foods..No rules and no age limit.. Just go with the pace of your child.
