I so love Dutch! My favorite country I’ve ever visited. I bought cassette tapes (yes I’m old 😂) on how to learn Dutch before I went. I tried so dang hard. I accomplished a few of the basics and sentences that mattered like where is the restroom and ordering food etc but man it’s a super touch language at least for me. It’s so so beautiful 😍 and at the same time I loved when I visited because everyone was so kind and welcoming and almost every restroom and signage included about 5 languages. That’s so cool to see them welcome so many peeps from so many different places and yet they also appreciate the fact that I was trying to hard to speak their language. Not to be condescending at all I swear but I took 4 years of French in both high school and college and still people were not the kindest in France despite how hard I was trying. I was not expecting that but it’s okay I get it to a point. Anywho love your country so very much! I will definitely be back! ❤️ 😊

I loved the book!!!! I always wanted to write children's books, just never had the opportunity to make it happen, especially since I have been my husband's care giver for the last 14 years!! I might try some day.... watching your daughter interact with the grasshopper was so cute!! It reminded me of when my son was into learning about all kinds of bugs, he even had a critter keeper so he could watch and learn about caterpillars. We caught a caterpillar one day and he took it to kindergarten for show and tell.... how the hell was I supposed to know his teacher was terrified of caterpillars??!!! LOL!!! Here is a little science experiment you can do with her... call it a "magic trick"... it would be a great video to watch her reaction when you do the experiment (you may want to try this while she's sleeping as a trial run)... this is something I did with my son when he was little... he took it in for show and tell... I will share the results later. Anyway, I am sure you remember the old volcano science fair projects from years ago... well, this one is not as messy, but shows what happens when you combine an acid with a base. You will need a quart sized zipper top bag, a tablespoon of baking soda, a paper towel or napkin, and a 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Start by laying the paper towel or napkin on the kitchen counter, put the baking soda in the center, spread it out a little bit, then fold it up so it is about a 1" x 1" square, leave it on the counter for now. Take the vinegar and pour it into the bottom of the zip lock bag, hold it up, then take the 1" x 1" square with the baking soda and carefully put it in the upper left side, inside of the zip lock bag, and hold it with your index finger and thumb, do NOT drop it in the vinegar yet. Get someone to zip the bag closed for you, then go over to the kitchen sink, let the paper towel drop onto the vinegar at the bottom of the bag. The combination of the acid (vinegar) and the base (baking soda), creates a harmless gas that will cause the bag to expand.... kind of like when you eat some things that cause you to become bloated and creates a gas that makes you burp or pass gas!! Keep the bag over the sink and let the bag expand until it pops.... hence why you keep it over the sink!! When you drop the paper towel into the vinegar, make sure you and your daughter say "Abra cadabra!!" at the same time, so she believes it is a magic trick!! My son decided he wanted to do this for show and tell one day.... he got into trouble because not only his teacher wasn't there, but the Principle had to fill in for her that day, and she didn't bother reading all of the instructions, didn't know what happened when you combine an acid and a base, and the bag blew up scaring her and the whole class laughed at her!!! You would think a Principal would know what would happen... lol!! I hope you do a video of this, it would be fun to see her reaction!! Have fun...
