Do you put the crickets in the fridge for a little while before feeding them just to slow them down? If I put a cricket in them small enclosures with the lid off, I would have a loose cricket hopping around my room. Crickets are a pain in the arse in my experience. They never stay put. It's OK when you get them in and shut the lid, but I always have to be quick.

Hey so we have 2 slings/almost juveniles (1 yr old now but no one can seem to tell us if they're juveniles yet) and just a bub sling (6 months old) but we've been told by breeders never to leave crickets in with them and to remove both the back legs of the crix so they cant hurt the ts. Is this right information? We feed them weekly and as it's been more warmer they've been doing great take downs (we live is Australia). The two 1 yr olds are a sp cooktown goliath and a sp Champagne Robustus and the bub is an sp4 yellow. Any info would be so so much appreciated x

How often do you feed your tiny slings? And do you just do 1 appropriate sized cricket? I just got a itsy bitsy C. fimbriatus and C. versicolor. Maybe 3/4 each. Also, do you have tips for telling when the tiny tiny ones are about to molt? I’ve looked online but it seems so hard to tell when they are that tiny.

I am curious. When you get the really small slings delivered, they´re so tiny that they barely cover a quarter coin. How long does it take for them to cover the bottom of a beer bottle and how long from them to cover a coffee saucer? I´m thinking about getting two different spicies/slings, probably a mexican redknee and some other nice and calm species.

I actually like that they don't always jump on their food. It helps we newer keepers see that it's OK, and we shouldn't panic. I'm trying to mix in some Dubias for the protein, but they just immediately burrow, and I don't know if that means they spider will NEVER eat them, or just... not right now. I usually drop in a second one and just assume I'll remove any the next day if I can find them.

Cool video I like it was all slings. On your first attempt if familiar with sling nature the cricket was a decent size for a sling not to mention u dropped it right in the ts safe zone out of the blue it startled it it didn’t at all mean it wasn’t hungry what I like to do if the crickets r semi big for being baby crickets or even small adult crickets for bigger slings I pull off their jumping legs so they avoid startling the slings and just crawl around like any normal insect and the slings normally get it with ferocity I’m sure the first sling would of Had a much better attempt if u tried pullin one or both legs off the cricket and setting it forward to walk right toward the t so he feels the vibration ahead of time opposed to not knowing it’s there till it plummets near ur head and into ur little safety hole I also could be wrong it was fat it Could be ready for pre molt or anything but I wouldn’t be so fast to give up on them slings def act like babies when they get startled lol anyways great video I loved the switch up for the feeds!
