A little backstory to this event, I usually ask the client about a week or two before the event what time I can come in, just because some halls timing depend on if they have other events before yours. This client booked her hall from 5pm to 1am, thinking she could come in prior to the event time and set things up. It turned out that in that timeline (5pm - 1am) she had to decorate, host and clean up her event. The baby shower originally began at 6:30, which only gave me an hour and a half to set up 10 tables, that had tablecloths, centerpieces, charger plates and linen napkins, as well as 80 chairs that had chair covers and sashes, the main decor ( the candy cart, the boxwood hedge wall with the leaves on it and the balloons), the floating animals and the main entrance balloon decor. I know what your thinking, is that even possible? Honestly, you can have a team of 10 and have the clients family help and it still won’t be done. So we had to take some things off the invoice, and ultimately agree on when people started to come in then I had to stop decorating and whatever was finished was finished. The floating animals were not able to be placed on the ceilings because the owner of hall did not allow it.
