This is one of my favorite pieces of music. I listened to countless renditions over the years. I like how made it your own. It’s so easy to copy someone else’s…for that alone you deserve a lot of credit. Wishing you all the best !

This performance has passion, deep understanding, intuitive sympathy and profound affection for the music of JS Bach. I was also really moved by watching her play - her body swaying with the rhythm and flow of the music and her expressions as well! Bravo 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻

Einfach grandios musiziert. Meiner Ansicht nach den Geist Bach‘scher Komposition wunderbar getroffen. In Ausdruck, Dynamik, Phrasierung, Triller! Besonderen im Abschluss der Prelude. Sehr gut Sarabande. Angenehm klar und präzise die Gigue. Nur die Courante war zu hastig; zu solchem Tempo hat zu Bachs‘s Zeiten niemand getanzt. Bravo. Werde ich mir öfter anhören

I get so frustrated when playing this suite, I feel like no way that I do it feels like I'm doing it right and feels lifeless. When I listen to performances such as this I recognize that everyone will play it differently and in their own beautiful way. It comforts me that it's really up to me decide how to interpret the piece and give life to it, and this performance gives me so much inspiration to do so. It's beautiful, thank you for this wonderful performance! ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚

Woww... This is one of the best performance I have seen of the first suite. Especially the courante is played not just fast but so melodic and emotional. Too bad I can't listen this on Spotify...
That is how I envision Bach should be played. With thought. Mega virtuosi I invite you to hear this you may change your approach to papa Bach. The only thing I do not agree with this is skipping the repeats . Those are a blessing to incorporate your own embellishments and apoggiaturas, little scales and trills and more, to use them as another version of the same piece. Use the freedom Bach gives you to make your own additions.

Her playing is technically good. But her rhythm and cadence are erratic and not very smooth. Being able to play a piece technically well is only part of the music equation. I think this young woman has talent. But her musicality is lacking and isn't as well polished as it could be. She's trying to put feeling into her performances, which is actually very good. But her emotional approach is wrong. I think someone like this young woman could learn a lot about this particular piece if she watched and studied someone like the great Yo-Yo Ma. His performance of this piece is one of the best that I've heard. It is deliberate, is not technically overdone like this young woman. He mastered the art of putting feeling into his playing because he is connected to the music physically, emotionally and spiritually. He feels the music and knows it. She is a bit too hurried in playing this piece. It should be done with deliberation and conviction. She sounds like she is rushing through the piece as if she's in a hurry to get it done. Slow down, feel the music... listen to your playing so that you can feel it as well as play it. Playing technically perfect is fine... as long as you don't get too carried away with it. Performing a piece with perfect technical ability robs and destroys music. It does so by sucking the life out of the piece. I'm sitting here listening to her playing as I write this. Her technicality is wonderful. But she needs to mature as a musician. She really needs to get to know the music intimately and not worry so much about the technical aspect of it. She has the technicality down almost to perfection. Now she needs to develop her musicality. It happens with practice and learning to hear and feel the music. Only then can she really get to know and understand the music that she plays. I am no cellist and I laud her abilities for her technical abilities. But I understand music. I grew up with music all around me. I grew up singing in a family choir and sang in church choirs. I studied music theory, music composition, music appreciation and was in my high school band and choirs. I continued pursuing music for years after leaving school. Most of all, I learned to listen and to really hear music and used my educational knowledge about music, including theory, composition and appreciation. I gained insight and true appreciation for music through careful listening. I will never be a cellist. My musical abilities are pathetic and limited at best. But my understanding of music helps me to know what it should be. I've heard numerous renditions of this piece of music played by numerous and well established cellist/musicians. Each with their own style and technique, each with their own special way of playing the piece. Some were good, some not so good. Others were amazing and skilled musicians connected to the music because they understand music and understand their own hearts. Music is always, first and foremost, arbitrary. It is subject to the whims of those who listen. You either love it or hate it. Some are indifferent, others are ignorant enough to appreciate the music because they just enjoy hearing it. I see, hear and feel the colors of the voice of music that touches my heart and soul because I love music. I'm not a true musicians. Nevertheless I have a musician's heart. If this girl reaches for it and keeps reaching for it, she too will have her own musician's heart one day.
