Nice video, beautiful cars. I believe these were originally battery powered because they came out with the first Big Haulers line, which was radio controlled with a battery powered locomotive running on plastic track. That said, some garden railways do not have electrified track today. Battery powered lights are also a bit steadier burning for realism when running over minor track anomalies. I really like the metal railings and enhanced pinstriping on these cars.

You could even out the light by lining the inside of the roof with aluminum foil...which will also protect the roof from heat given off by the light bulbs.

You know there are plenty of retailers out there that would appreciate your business. Why would you ever go again to a retailer who insulted you I would let the owner or manager why you are no longer a customer of his and the name of the person at trainland responsible. Where is train land anyway Is it the one in Brooklyn? Just curious

Yes it is the Brooklyn store. It just so happens that I do in fact have connections with the owner at Trainworld, however I never brought up the employees' attitude towards me, just because I didn't feel like making a big deal about it. However, I do have to laugh because the employee in question did end up getting terminated 2 years ago. It wasn't for anything work related and I won't go into why he was let go, but lets just say he was a very sick person behind closed doors... I still choose to do business at Trainworld, again because they have some of the best prices I've been able to find online, and this case has been the only issue I've had with them over the years I've been doing business there. Like I said, I do have connections with the owner and he treats me pretty well, as does his employees who know me.

@Plow Bender Studios I'm not sure but I think trainland in Brooklyn and train world on long island are the same store. Li is a nice store but they only deal in trains now and not model cars anymore. I usually go to willis or hobby lobby I pretty lucky there's quite a few hobby shops within driving distance from me

While that is true, there is still the fact someone on quality control is being paid to stand there and keep a watchful eye out for issues such as this. Regardless what and/or who is putting what together, if you're going to pay a premium price for a model, you expect it to be assembled correctly. Bachmann had their 1:20.3 Murpy Roof Boxcars a few years back that were poorly assembled, and there were numerous complaints about those, even resulting in the company dumping the remaining warehouse stock on some retailers at a heavy discount just to get ride of them. The company Athearn has also thrown away containers full of locomotives that were poorly manufactured from China, and I'm sure there's many other manufactures who have experienced similar issues as well. I'm sure anyone who has purchased a defective model at a hefty price will agree it's not an acceptable trade.
