I’ve been a land surveyor for 10 years now. I’ve seen the off road trucks make it through some sh*t and I’ve seen them buried to the windows. I love watching machines work

Where I live you don't see that much of these type of messes but we have a lot good clumpy soil that sticks and packs together really well. The soil in your area seems to be rather sandy. Maybe you can include a few educational hints in a future video about the soil on some of these jobs and how you prepare it to hold in place for a pond. Keep Diggin😎

My 2 year old son always thought big trucks had big, loud horns as depicted in tv shows and songs. He was disappointed to learn they sound like grandpas golf cart. He still loves to watch the dinosaur truck eat the dirt and trees, though.

@@letsdig18 I bet there's a few wasp and yellow jackets around there also, I ran a Case 850 dozer back in the late 80s doing mostly clearing in north Alabama and I was always finding the yellow jacket and bumble bee nest in the ground and old stumps, I didn't have the luxury of an enclosed cab so I was stung a lot.

here`s a HANDY little tip for you, i KNOW you love my comment`s ......when dump truck reverses toot your horn ONCE to get him to stop (which you do) then when full , toot your horn TWICE when the truck`s loaded. as your probably well aware, most truck driver`s when being loaded pick up their phone and get on the interweb, also these truck`s are VERY noisy inside and they dont always hear you toot your horn, however, if you toot twice they ALWAYS hear you, i do this when driving excavators in quarry`s in the uk and it works EVERY time.................

Looks better every time you visit. They probably took the road out to make it harder for whoever was brought in to fix the mess! They will have known they were running away at that point.

For temporary crossings, you need a fascine. Bundle of plastic pipes in a cargo net, designed to be dropped by an excavator arm, capable of supporting heavy equipment.

That was a Super slick move there (early) w the bucket helping the truck up the hill, even as big as those are its crazy to think a truck w those sized tires can lose traction.Disaster yes, Whoever did that in the 1st place didnt have a clue = sorry to say the landowner got screwed over on it.

Looks like you should have dug a trough thru the center, cut the dam out and let it drain for a few weeks then started over from scratch. Just random ass holes, odd banks and no thought went into what was done before.

Noticed you had to finally change the back tire on the haul truck. I think you possibly covered it in a previous video, but my memory is slipping in my old age, lol. Anyway, seems like the guy on the dozer they hired is doing a good job on that messed up slope. One less thing you have to do.

Don't know why your clients want to remove the safety bench (road) along the far side bank. Eventually the pond will need cleaned out again and after the pond is drained and dried out, would make it easier to access. I'd just slope the upper edge a little bit.
