My thoughts on the Doo 146's blowing belts is they are on the pipe all day. It's great to have that kind of track speed but lets face it, your in deep snow with lots of vertical. This is why they engineered longer tracked sleds to do this kind of work. At least nobody is complaining that the Doo's are flawed yet, but I'm sure there motor life is going to be drastically reduced too trying to make them operate in those type of conditions and doing the work of longer tracked/lugged configurations. They are fun to watch though!

Also, if you broke in the belt instead of putting it on and wide open right away on the mountain, most belt companies want 40km to 50km of break in. I don't know all the engineering and reasons behind it, but there must be a reason they say no full throttle for the break-in duration. Put your spare belt on when you leave the truck and break it in going up the trail and switch back before you hit the powder, bit of a pain but that way when you do need it and have to ride hard right away it's already broke in and should last more then 75km.
