We cook corn cobs still encased in their husks straight in the fire and yes the husks burn . Recommend to soak the corn cobs with husks in water for about an hour before putting on the fire particularly if they are a bit dry . Once cooked , dollops of butter , salt and pepper . Yum .

Interesting that the cold got your fusion-locks, ours fell off recently (parked up at home) with a couple of minus overnight temps, reckon you’re right! I had the disks under it and that’s what gave way. Enjoying your travels and living vicariously until August when we take off for a trip.

August will be here in no time! We have put some super glue between the rubber and plastic and put them Back on and they seem rock solid now, hopefully thats a win for those

My Diesel heater would not start when camped at Lythgo in NSW. It turned out to be too cold and the diesel had turned waxy. A small amount of kerosene in the fuel fixed it.

Have hears this! And people using alpine diesel when they go to the snow. Ours was the motor itself that failed, relatively cheap on Ebay and easy to replace. That will be this sundays video

Is the Deep Water pub still closed, I use to always stop over at the pub, free if you have a meal. Last time I went thru that way the pub was all chained up with big locks, about 18 months ago. Loved where you camped. Thanks. Liam loves helping and trying eh, so good.😊

Im not sure actually we didn’t pay much attention to the pub when we drove past. Do love a country pub with camping but wasn’t what we were looking for that week

We have had heaps of trouble with our fusion locs as well. Got on to them and if you wash the rubber things in hot water and let dry thoroughly they will generally go back on. Ours tend to come off when it’s really hot for some reason.

Ah yeh the old hit water wash! Worked for my car mount. We have found super gluing the rubber but into the plastic bit helps too! Give it a try if they come off again, so fsr so good for us

I’ve had trouble with fusion locs repeatedly coming off once they’ve come off once, seems like they don’t seem to stick as well ever again. Not sure if there is a fix for it. I’ve also had the little round bit break when the ones with 2 attachments fall off, which is annoying as you can’t use them again.
@Ourwhittleadventure
18 күн бұрын
Yeh weve had some of those little bits break too. Weve found if you super glue the rubber seal into the plastic part then it doest tend to hold its suction again. Weve put ours back up and its been a few weeks so far. Worth a try
@kelliemibus2953
