Beautiful hike and so fitting for "Living Water" reference. I definitely need to check it out. Am more of a day hiker and appreciate your ideas for Michigan hikes that aren't to far for a local guy like me. Blessings

Watched this last night on the big television with the missus..... lovely video Mark...brought back a lot of memories of my own trip... i might have actually camped at 3B second night, it really is a beautiful view but a long way from the water 😄.... those puddin's looked delicious ... might have to get me some of them on my next trip😛😛 Think im going to do an overnighter on the 'Zirkel Circle' with some flyfishing thrown in... its up by Steamboat Co... that is when the darn weather sorts out whats its doing... its snowing today here !! anyhoo thanks for taking us along on your adventure with Danny it was great... atb Dave Mc

Sweet video! I’ve bikepacked the NCT on my mountain bike from Baldwin to Traverse City so I’ve rode the NCT section you hiked. This video makes me want to hike this loop during fall for the colors!

The Manistee river is a beautiful river. I’ve swam in it multiple times ,kayak in it rode my dirtbike all around the Manistee trails north of Mesick,

i do this trail twice almost every year. well over 2 dozen times in total. always enjoy watching videos of the loop. have found that eddington creek has the coldest water. one of these days, i am going to measure all of the stream temps.

So, the route that we took, before crossing the suspension bridge, there are no designated campsites, like there are on the Manistee River Trail (west side). There are several dispersed sites that you will come across, and that is one that we found for our first night. Happy trails!!

I've done this loop once. Last September. Parked in the same Upper River Road trail head and also went clockwise. I stayed in a different site ( I don't remember the number) but that area is full of such great ones. That is definitely one of my favorite backpacking spots and I would love to go back. Thanks for the video.
