Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart explain why they decided to commit "commercial suicide" and rebel against the early-2000s' garage rock trend with their minimalist second album.
So weird, I loved this album the first time I heard it, not long after it was released I actually went through a phase in 2006 when I was completely obsessed with it 😂

this is so so good, jamie is really funny, and alison is alison... even if she is the shy one, she's the center of the attention usually, i love when jamie sings and i love to hear him talk, it really is a love story, between two brothers, incestuasly or not, i really dont care, just the love of it is great and is the motor for good music. By the way, two of my fav kills songs are from the 'comercial suicide album': i hate the way you love part 2, is the ringtone for my compagnion since many years and rodeo town is amazing.

Wow really, I had no idea they or other people even felt this way about this record. I rate it very highly and played when it came out almost as much as their first album. Prefer it to a couple of their other albums too. But all of their albums have a place and some killer tracks. Murdermile, Good ones, Love is a deserter, Dead road 7, No wow - all brilliant tunes.
