Definitely is one of our favorite recipes! In the summer I grow jalapenos and then as I harvest I make them into bacon wrapped poppers and freeze them in quart freezer bags. Needless to say, we have poppers for the entire year. Great recipe!

Shotgun Red, I put cream cheese in first then on top of the cream cheese I layer with Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage, then bacon wrap of course. No extra seasoning needed either. Try it out, you'll love it.

Just a bit of a warning, if you have any left and want to reheat one quickly in the microwave, the stem will spark fire. It did in my microwave and it scared me to death. I’ve been cutting them off since, lol. They look amazing.

If you do this same thing except put smoked brisket strips in the jalapenos with the cream cheese and the bacon wrap. They are enough to fill you up just add a shot and a beer. Living the life.

These look great! I found some called ABTs( I know it’s bad, but it stands for Atomic Buffalo Turds). Add cut up candied pineapple ( found at your market) and a little bbq rub to the cream cheese. Put 1/2 a little smoky on top and wrap with bacon( I use 1/2 a slice with a tooth pick). I found this from a guy named ( I think) John Setzler who was doing them for Kamado Joe tv. It takes a good hour to an hour and fifteen minutes on the grill. Make sure the bacon is cooked. The heat is cooked out of the Jalapeño and they are FANTASTIC! A little work but boy are they worth it! p.s. I use a 1/8 teaspoon measurer to clean out the Jalapeño, works great.

Miss Sheila I need to ask you a question please? Which green herb can I use in place of cilantro? I keep trying it but it tastes soapy to me.
@CookingwithShotgunRed
3 жыл бұрын
Parsley is a green herb that happens to be in the same family as cilantro. It's slightly more bitter but adds a similar fresh, taste to your dishes like cilantro.🙂

The Best Substitutes for Fresh Coriander Leaf (Cilantro) Parsley. Parsley is a bright green herb that happens to be in the same family as cilantro. ... Basil. Though basil will change the flavor of some dishes, it works well when substituting cilantro in certain cases. ... Herb Mixtures.

I got so angry at my cousin. We had an after harvest dinner. ( He is a wheat farmer just south of Prosser Washington.) He made those only he cooked them in a Smoker. My cousin called them ABT's.. AKA atomic, buffalo, turds. They were so good! I got angry at him because i'm not a cook. well I can make cheese sandwich, and I can burn water like a pro. They don't sell ABT's in the store. So I have to wait a hole year to get more.
