Does Starbread actually use maple syrup? Every recipe uses brown sugar, but you’re the only one using maple syrup. I assumed it was plain white sugar. Thanks

I did them. They are so good, the only problem i have is the syrup kind of sip out of my bread but still my grad daughter loves them!!!!

Thank you for your feedback.💛 We don’t need a lot of syrup inside because we add more syrup when they are done baking. If you want more filling inside then you can try combining brown sugar and room temperature butter. Something that won’t be too runny.

Has anyone tried this as a savory bread, like garlic butter as the filling, instead of the butter syrup mixture? Just using less sugar in the dough maybe... The dough looks amazing. I think I might try it after I do this version. Thank you for this recipe.

I just tried this recipe. I did come across one issue. The dough was very sticky. Easy fix though, I added oil to the palms of my hands. Other than that it is a great recipe. Will definitely save this recipe to continue making it for many many years!!!!

Am I insane or did anyone else experience extremely sticky dough. I've tried this twice now, I notice as the clips cut she has flour on her hands which maybe she keeps adding to prevent the dough from sticking to her hands, which is actually adding more flour. Thus also doesn't let us know if the stickiness is okay before the proofing. Idk what I'm doing wrong help me out lol

Whenever you add eggs to the dough, it’s ok to add a little more flour. Eggs size will vary.

Any maple syrup will work. I like to use grade A maple syrup from Trader Joe’s. 💓

Hi! 🤗 I use unsalted butter but I do add 1/2 tsp of salt to the dough. If you will be using salted butter then just don’t add salt to the dough.

A friend of mine worked at BAD bakers. They said that the staxx requires different ingredients and that this is totally wrong.

These came up when I looked for staxx bread. But they are not staxed so to speak. Are they different than staxx bread? I'm making them tonight so wish me luck. I've never had staxx bread or senorita bread, but I saw it on TV and had to try it.

How come i had to add more flour when kneading.. mine was too sticky even after kneading after 5 mins

Every flour will be a little different. And especially when adding eggs to the dough, they will always measure differently. Therefore it is absolutely normal to use a little more or less flour. ❤️

Thank you so much for your feedback. Unfortunately I don’t but you don’t have to be exact with measurements. Just have to get the dough to the right consistency. It should be very soft but not sticky to clean hands. If you have a question about a certain ingredient measurement then I can convert it for you. But I will have to google it, same as you.
