I think tone took it to far saying Marcus doesn’t like Mike. Marcus is fed up with Mikes antics. He clearly loves and likes him , that’s why Marcus is reluctant to tell Mike he’s transferring

Don’t overlook Lethal Weapon! We. Have a solid series of movies with part 2 being the best but even part 4 being really good. You can’t get no Blacker than “Mista” aka Danny Glover.

Real shit! I was on a Lethal Weapon binge one time on Roku Channel. Mel Gibson with the mullet was definitely whooping ass! Danny Glover was basically the guardian of him in the movie making sure his ass ain’t getting in too much trouble. Since he’s the oldest out the duo and he was younger 😂! But his character in Lethal Weapon was crazy but same time he got the job done

Disagree with the Eddie statement. Love Eddie too but one draw to the Bad Boys franchise especially for women is Will Smith. He is sexier than Eddie and a lot of women went to see him in the franchise.

I believe Fresh Prince was the bigger show in the 90s. It was on NBC and it had more crossover appeal, whereas Martin was bigger to a lot of black people that I know. It was on FOX and it aired with Living Single. And I also can't imagine Eddie Murphy in Will Smith's role, even though that's who Martin wanted initially. The character of Mike is a sexy playboy who gets all the ladies. Ain't nothing sexy about Eddie Murphy 😂
@mistercool3859
2 ай бұрын
You're right, "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" was more popular than "Martin" in terms of ratings, crossover appeal, and being on the bigger network. Will was also a big-time, Grammy-winning rap artist. But Martin was the most talked about stand-up comedian at the time and was seen as the next Eddie Murphy. Plus, Martin had done more movies than Will before "Bad Boys 1," and the films that Martin starred in, co-starred in, and acted in (including his stand-up film "You So Crazy") did better overall in the box office than the movies Will Smith starred in, co-starred in, and acted in at the time. Will Smith is better-looking than Eddie Murphy, in my opinion, but Eddie Murphy pulled off the sexy playboy in "Boomerang," even though he is usually known for playing the funny guy. Eddie would have been great in "Bad Boys," but I think that Will was better because he is better-looking, funny but not too goofy, younger, and more smooth.

I actually don't think Marcus is jealous of Mike. I think that they both just get on each other's nerves. And sometimes they use that tension they have with each other to their advantage when dealing with criminals, like the beginning car jacker scene of the first movie. And I never thought that Theresa found Mike attractive. Sure, on the surface, he's a handsome guy, but she knows that he is a male 304, not her type at all, which is made clear in the first movie's breakfast scene and how she reacts when Mike gives her a kiss on the cheek.

I held on to Bad Boys as my no. 1 for so long.. But as of lately.. Bad Boys 2 was just turnt all the way up, actually the most out of all 4. For Lif3 is the best critically. And I’ve seen Ride Or Die like 2x already and it’s really good bcuz it’s a little bit of all of them. My boi Reggie gets his shine on. 🫡 And Martins story arc makes him the loose can. I like what they did with Marcus. And he’s got that energy we love him for. Bad Boys Ride Or Die 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Man, the Bad Boys and Rambo franchises are neck in neck in terms of me deciding my favorite film franchise, but that's another story, lol. The first Bad Boys and parts 3 and 4 are great (the first one is classic), however, part 2 has long been my favorite of the franchise and it remains the most fun I ever had at the movies when I seen it in August 2003.

What will smith needs for his career is a pivotal role in a star studded black comedy. The same way Michael Clark Duncan was is welcome home roscoe jenkins. He doesn't need another big money main character role where he's the popular ladies man. He needs a role where he's funny and has a lot of flaws and he's the butt of the joke.

I think the relationship between Marcus and Mike is that Marcus loves Mike but Mike is that cousin who always gets u in shit and hardly ever faces any conseqences for it. Like he the one who on the court if someone fouls him, instead of reading the room, he wants to talk shit to the biggest dude on the court. Now u gotta squabble it out with 5 other niggaz and its just 2 of yall. Mike to me never had anybody really check him in his life so Marcus fills that role and I think even HE gets sick of it from time to time. I wouldnt call it jealousy, more of Im sick of always having to hold u down and u go out your way to get us in some BS without thinking. Thats just me tho
