In some ways, it might have been easier to just drop a Godzilla in it and call it a day, but I suspect that this kind of thing is a little more relatable, and it doesn't preclude changing it up down the line. You sure never know what you are going to find when you get unpacking this stuff!

You got an Elephant. It looks like a really nice car. I am sure the best way to make money would be to part it out. I think getting it back together would be more rewarding. It could be some really good content for videos. It really doesn't look that bad. Fixing the wiring will probably be the worst part. If i was in the market for a project and saw it for sale i would have jumped on it.

Yeah, it’s probably a pretty decent project. I ended up buying it almost a year ago at a time when I could not do anything with it, but I have pushed it into the hoist and I intend to start trying to sort it out now. The white ‘93 is so stock that I can’t bring myself to modify it, but this one is begging for the full treatment!

How about a winter video? I just reversed flushed heater core on the garden hose, lots of sediment expelled. Still no heat, maybe damper flap? Also changed oil to 5w-30 Wix 51515. Plenty of driving days till road salt season.

I did do a quick short on fuel stabilizer day, where I have everything running to get Stabil properly mixed in and run right through to the injectors. There are still a few nice cars out here because it has been a mild fall so far with the El Niño year, but for the most part everything is put away until spring and we are well into the winter build season. A little discussion of my winter storage philosophy might make a good video though, so thanks for the suggestion.

That brace is a K-member brace that bolts below, it bolts in the rear and uses 2 of the 4 bolt locations and the other mounts go to the open holes in the k-member. I think Kenny-Brown made it back in the day.

Thanks for the feedback. With the menagerie of stuff packed with this car, I wasn't even 100% sure it was a Foxbody part. This unpack actually happened last winter and I have been working on a go-forward plan for the project and trying to figure out how to turn hours of unboxing video into something that MIGHT be interesting to watch, so I have kind of been wondering about that part ever since!

Any idea how many hours will be spent putting everything back together.

The thing about these projects is that they always have more gotchas than you ever thought possible. The wiring harness is a major question mark, and although I have run a compression test on the stock engine which it passed fine, who knows what will really happen with that. If I had a guess, 400-800 hours. If I am monumentally lucky, 150-200 hours. The only smart way to approach it is one step at a time without a lot of expectations. My intention is to film it so you guys can follow along with what taking on a project like this is really like, so keep your eyes out for more on this project. The honest truth is that I would probably be better off financially to sell it in pieces, but what would be the fun in that?

Great way to look at this type of project. Future videos will help those enthusiasts that feel so overwhelmed at times. Cataloging and sorting out junk from good parts is key as you point out. Thanks Matt looking forward to the rebuild/restoring.

That brace that you found in the trunk is a chassis brace also called a k member brace. Not sure if if it made any difference because we installed my strut tower brace, subframe connectors, and chassis brace at the same time, but big difference all together

Yeah, I had another commenter say the same thing. With so much stuff in this lot that was not actually for a Foxbody Mustang I wasn't entirely sure if it was an aftermarket piece like that or for another car altogether. I know I have never actually used one of them myself, but there are/were SO MANY parts made for these cars that it isn't unusual to run across something you have never seen before or can't identify right away when it is out of context like this. Thanks for your feedback!

I know. I sat on this footage for months thinking it would just be boring, then I finally decided to cut it into really fast 1-3 second clips and when I was done I kind of liked it. You keep wondering what the next treasure that will come out of the boxes or car is going to be, and there is always something on a project unpack like this. Plus, it seemed like a good introduction to this project in terms of how far away from a real car it is actually starting! Thanks for watching!
