It always pisses me off when folks deny my Jewish heritage because my dad was Jewish.. when someone now asks me ‘which parent’ I say ‘the same way Obama is Black.’ That usually shuts them up.
@Anahita61

So, is "half-Jewish" when your father is a Jew, and not your mother? I thought being Jewish required the maternal parent to be a Jew. My father was a Jew, and my mom Catholic. So am I half-Jewish?

@@Anahita61 i think there's been a miscommunication. I was trying to say that people shouldn't have to be related to religious group to follow the same teachings or become a member. Converts seem pretty essential IMO. I see the word 'Religion' as kind of impossible to pin down if a particular group can fall under it but also require certain genetics of its members. To me thats pretty unique, unless you consider race to be genetic and not social... I'm no expert though.

1:09:30 I wonder if the Palestinian guy Daniel mentioned was Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib. He's one of the few Palestinians you hear from who absolutely NEVER finds fault with Israel. He has lost like 30 relatives since October 7th, but he never says that Israel killed them-he says "the war" killed them or something like that. Never mentions the occupation or any injustices or crimes perpetrated by Israel, today or in the past. He showed up at the UCLA encampments briefly for a photo op, so I think he lives in So Cal and could have been the man Daniel met. He seems to be some sort of developer/investor/disaster-capitalist type person, and I think he wants to curry favor with Israel so he can be in charge of the airport or whatever after they take Gaza-or just profit from reconstruction if they don't.

This type of people are too narcissistic and heartless to think about other people. Its like someone that has immigrant parents, relatives or grandparents but is anti-immigrant. Its should be obvious to them but they don't get it because they are too invested in themselves.

3M in the morning with your MML and punsmith 3Mc. Excited for the next episodes, gentlemen. Can’t get enough of this show. Marc is a smart guy. I’m glad he brought up the issue of eschatology in this context, because it’s a fundamental moral principle that drives our world leaders, and namely, Evangelical xionists and Jewish xionists. Both are trying to bring about armageddon through their respective eschatological and cosmological narratives that inform their epistemology and ontology. It is an ancient practice of legitimizing political and social power through deferring to eschatology to divinize rulership and lay its claim to incontrovertible divine, royal inheritance. It’s at the heart of the issue. It’s the taproot. The soteriology of the Judeo-Christian/Abrahamic traditions is a very important tool to untangle this narrative knot. Great job MML and 3M.

Ethiopian Jewish history dates back to Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. It is a very fascinating and rich historical culture. At one time, all people in that kingdom were Jewish. And then very early converted to Christianity. Every church has a representation of the Arc of the Covenant as it’s believed that Solomon snd Shebas son brought it back for safe keeping. Pretty fascinating story.

Listening to him talk Marc in circles & exhaust him is a huge part of their hasbara. DARVO tactics which he's clearly studied , but the man is a schmuck & a dunce. My god this is painful 😒🙄
