Whoops....GUMPS starts with "gas", not gear. You have "undercarriage" right there! Great video you made. Thanks.

Jet fuel is a liquid not a gas so that would just confuse me. I use BUMFISH then PUFFC on final.

Such a feel good video - most of yours are always. I like the idea of 30° flaps with 421 / 425 due to the split flap design generating no lift. Have you ever seen a 425 with the Robertson STOL kit? It turns the split flaps into Fowler flaps which move aft during initial travel up to about 5° setting, and still generate lift at higher settings. You know like the 441..... Along with the VGs it really transforms the airplane.

First timer here, I thought the plane was a KA at first glance. Does it have an off-airport kit on it? I noticed the little "fender" on the front? Looks like a big upgrade on the panel too. Sweet! 8) --gary

Thanks for the video👍. Do you have any videos yet of what you look for when flying in or near icing conditions and what to look for or watch out for whether it’s from inside the plane or during your planning phase prior to flying? Thanks man 👍

Not yet but I will be making some regarding weather planning and I wanted to do one specifically talking about ice!
@libertine5606

AUTOPILOT OFF! Just lost, I believe a twin Aero Commander to ice, over the San Gabriel mountains. There was a cut off low pumping in moisture, he had up lifting over the mountains, and he had the auto pilot on so he couldn't feel the pitch change. He stated that he had moderate ice and, "the autopilot was acting up". Just before he went in. The things to think about with ice is it's possible whenever close to freezing. It's the moisture and some type of uplifting. It could be thermals, mountains, fronts, etc. If the air was static the moisture would turn to snow and you wouldn't have ice. But most importantly you always need a out! You can't always rely on forecast because there are microclimates that you can't tell in the forecast. Usually the best out is the airport that you just passed that is above minimums. And the tops of cloud usually have the most moisture so getting on top may never happen. Even if you do get on top that ice you picked up may take forever to sublimate. This is where the night flying can be the most dangerous. You may be in and out of clouds picking up ice every time you go IMC. And you may have no way to see and avoid the clouds. Approved icing protection is like four wheel drive. It should be used to get you out of something not get you in it! A TBM augered due to ice in less than 5 minutes from the time he reported moderate ice! That a plane with that type of capability can be lost that fast blew me away. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread and getting stuck in a ice situation is the things of nightmares.

Nice video and great approach.. I used to have a home right above the airport at the golf club and commuted to Seattle.. some pretty rough weather in the winter between the two. I would fly my Cirrus up from my home base KUAO into Kelowna and Kamloops for fishing.. every flight i broke some CA rule :) One time coming in to Kelowna tower gave me cleared to the threshold.. I was with my buddy a retired AA captain and I asked him what does that mean and he just shrugged I took it as cleared to land and land got a minor scolding from tower.. So what does clear to the threshold mean in Canadian ? :)

Talking about landing with the gear up. At the little airport near my house we had a guy gear up a P210N are airport manger took that moment to act important and when the 210 was still on it’s belly on the runway he’s out there running up and down the runway in his 86 Crown Vic with the speedometer buried, now this was back in the early 90’s.😂

Could you do a video on setting your cabin pressure on both ascent and descent. I think that would be a good video. I have some confusion on where to set when descending especially at high altitude airports. Thanks
