Hi wes, i live in norway and i drive a semi every day at work, hauling heavy equipment and a dump trailer. I have 2 air outlets on each side of my truck and trailer and a long 2 inch air hose, i use it for the air jack if needed and air tools, the truck delivers so much air on idle so changing tires or whatever goes really quick. Good to hear you are ok, and that no one else got hurt. Good video, love your wrenching vids in the field, thats when the real mechanic shows!
@stubstoo6331

Yes some OTR drivers here have air on board their trucks, but company driver's that's frowned on. Have professional mechanics do it.

yeah, surprised he doesn't have an air coupler and a tank or two added on the truck. add some storage volume and high idle to speed the pump up and it would out-do that little compressor.

Well that sucks. Have had that happen to me a couple of times over the years. One was a new trailer leaving the dealership. They can say what they want but when parts fail you can’t always see it in advance. Right or wrong when your along side the road as long as it’s together and working it’s a success.

""got a rag or something to wipe my eyes?"" and that's why I don't wear sleeveless shirts. short sleeves = face wiping location, even when soaked they'll still take off the pouring sweat. now, try an 140F humid attic and keep working in there for hours on end, yeah lots of breaks, but once you climb in 40+ foot from the attic access and kick all the deep blown in fiberglass insulation out of the way to see the rafters/trusses, you suddenly do not want to go back and forth a hundred times

Around 10-12 years ago I was on my way home from buying a cab for my garden tractor when I was passing through a small town, just crossing a bridge over a creek when I see a big pickup pulling a two axle flatbed trailer with duals on the axles. Right in front of me I see lug nuts spilling onto the road and 4 tires going in 3 different directions, one just to the right of my Ford Ranger thankfully missing it. I pull over to help, grabbing the wheel that just missed my truck. Driver gets out and finds two more that kept going down the road. The fourth one had gone to his right and went down towards the creek, down probably at least 20 feet. He had someone with him looking for the 4th wheel and the driver asked me if I wanted to fetch the wheel down towards or in the creek and I said no way. His passenger fetched it. They had just left a tire shop a few blocks away and of course nobody tightened the lug nuts.

@@waynejones5239 The way his mouth was moving I’m guessing he used lots of colorful words. I remember the driver side of the trailer bouncing down as the tires hit the underside of deck before rolling away. I’m guessing that they were 10 lug nuts per wheel? I don’t think he found all of them. This was in the middle of the day, probably after noon time.

never-you-mind, the probable underinflation, overloading, overspeed, aged tires, etc. 😒 you can get by with that on an small passenger vehicle, but on a toy hauler/loaded trailer/truck/motor home/travel trailer, they all go BOOM or come apart and send shrapnel everywhere. junk tires and tom foolery mostly (cannot say anything about this situation/wes)
