Too be fair, Homestead has had some photo finishes ('98 Busch Series, '05 Cup, '12 Truck Series). Also, the championships being on the line makes the races exciting.

2011 was by far one of the most exciting upset seasons in a long time. I think everyone was sick of Johnson, 2011 was a nice change, but 2012? Seeing the upset by Brad, who had only even come into the Cup picture three years prior, winning the championship, and all this good racing that went with it. The package was perfect, honestly the Gen 6 car has been disappointing so far. Not much side-by-side like there used to be.

exactly the 2011-2012 cars were awesome, would they put on the best racing consistently? no but it was super competitive, there were 20 cars that could win every single week. now theres only 3 or so.

Exactly bro. I think NASCAR should add Road Atlanta and Road America in there. Maybe even Laguna Seca.

Agree with everything except the wrecking part. A great driver shouldn't have to resort to thuggery to get someone out the way. Bumping and bumpers and slamming fenders, yes, I love it :)

The word "circle" has two meanings. One, is the shape, to which you are referring. The second means to go in one direction, turn another, and come back the same way. So yes, a circle can HAVE two straight lines in it.

Sadly, you are right. Another sad thing is that my idiot cable company took away the channel in the US that broadcasts the truck races... Should be interesting to watch Eldora And Canadian Tire Auto Complex online next year

It still baffles me that Jimmie was mad at Brad at 1:45. Jimmie passed Kes when he merged on the track but Brad passed him right back. He had no reason to be mad about it.

I actually think some of the best racing in NASCAR atm is in the Truck series. The Trucks are tricky to drive, the drivers are a great mix of old tough-ass veterans and young rookies, and the racing is hard but with no bullshit. Except when Kyle Busch turns up and wrecks championship contenders for no reason...but hey. Sprint Cup I've lost faith with really, just doesn't entertain anymore like it used to. And Nationwide's a joke, just a playground for Sprint Cup guys.

Please. The only real badass moment in this whole thing was the last clip. Badass racing's putting the bumper to someone, badass racing's when they're going at it, and slamming off each other, and wrecking one of them if they have to. Badass racing's 3 and 4 wide, ten rows deep for the win. THAT'S badass racing.
