There was so much to cover on this bag, but I wanted to try and keep it as short as I possibly can. Over 20 minutes and it was still just the basics of the bag. Here's what I've learned with this backpack with my 2 years of using it. Hope it helps!

I have the Badlands Sacrifice and the Badlands 2200. I like them both, but I prefer the Sacrifice.

The pouch on the secondary pack is also used as a rifle sling when you release the top buckels it folds all the way down and you put the butt of the rifle in it and it works great a little low but works lol great review I just bought this pack because it's large enough to fit my 6,3 frame and I got it on sale at the same price as the 2200 I love it

Ohhh! That makes so much sense now. I can't imagine having the butt of my rifle sitting that low as the original rifle buttstock holder is too low for my liking already lol. For me I wish this pack fit a little smaller as this pack is a little too big for me. But this pack fits the bigger guys just perfect from what I've seen. For the price you got it at, that's a great deal. I'm gonna invest in another pack as hauling out meat several miles from the truck is pretty cumbersome for me.

Samong Yang Outdoors That's awesome man looking forward to seeing your review on whatever pack you decide to go with if I had the money I would have gone with the kuiu 5200 pro I've never tried one on but the suspension looks superb lol that's what it all boils down to for me nice an comfy

I'm pretty set on the Exo Mountain Gear 3500. Everything is based on research and discussion with friends. I wish I could go out and try it, but there are no retailers around here. My research ultimately led me to the Exo 3500 and the KUIU Icon Pro 3200, but with the way I hunt, I felt like the Exo 3500 features are more favorable for me. Both are pretty expensive, but they're probably not as expensive as medical bills for your back lol. I'll be sure to do a review on it once I've used it!

Samong Yang Outdoors Oh ya for sure excellent choice both amazing packs and good choice on size for your statute. It's so much fun buying new hunting gear it's my favorite thing in life lol I was just doing a little research on the kifaru and those also have a very nice suspension and I think 3 different sizes which is great for finding that perfect fit but like you said it's impossible to find a retailer that carry The nietzche brands lol sucks because I hate having to wait for stuff in the mail and having to deal with a return process by mail

I'm with you on buying gear. It's the only kind of shopping that I genuinely enjoy but that is until I take a look at my bank account lol. I hate waiting for products to ship too but when they arrive, man... adrenaline kicks in!! Haha.

Nice review! I bought 2 of these for $149 each. One for my wife and the other for me. I just sold my 15 year old Badlands 2200, it never failed after packing out 5 elk and around 20 deer. You can’t go wrong with a Badlands pack. I look forward to using these to pack out mule deer and elk this year. Keep the videos coming, I watch them all.

Another great video.. thoroughly enjoy watching your channel. Love my Badlands Super Day and seriously considering this pack for larger load/meat carrying. Your video has definitely made this a serious contender to the more expensive Mystery Ranch pack I have been considering.

I don't have any experience with the mystery ranch, but I do know a few features from researching. I think if you are looking for a backpack to be able tp haul out heavy loads of meat, an external packframe like the mystery ranch Metcalf is definitely worth the extra money. Not saying an internal frame like the badlands clutch can't do it because I've done it before, but ever since I upgraded to a pack that has an external frame and meat shelf - i don't think I'm ever going back to an internal frame pack. That's just my two cents! Best of luck on finding your new hunting pack! They're all great packs; just gotta find what fits your needs and at your budget.

So maybe sufficient for packing out deer but not much larger like elk?
@SamongOutdoors

I've packed out a quarter of a bull elk and some more out of the clutch back in 2016. The amount of weight the bag can handle will definitely be more than what we individually can carry out in my opinion. But the thing with an external frame vs. Internal frame is that you don't need to reorganize your bag to fit in meat with the external frame. You simply detach the bag from the frame, put the meat on the frame, and pull the bag over the meat and frame and you're good to go. With the internal frame (like the badlands clutch), you have to kinda reorganize your gear inside the body of the bag to put the meat inside. It's a personal preference. I guess you can just say I'm lazy to reorganize my bag before I put in meat haha. It's all preference! If you prefer internal frame or it doesn't matter to you; you can definitely save a good chunk of money with the badlands vs. The mystery ranch! Badlands has occasional sales and so you might be able to save even more. Badlands had a 50% off everything on their website earlier this month. You could've got the clutch for like $180!! That would've been a steal, but badlands usually does good sales during the holidays from here on out. If you're patient, you can definitely get a great price for the pack!

I loved your video. You have a small frame and it sounds like you are able to do a lot with it. I am a small frame women and you answered all of my questions that I had and all of my doubts. I have the Badlands dash and it is a little big, but i love it. I work at Amazon and run 6 miles after I get off work and it is so comfortable. I will probably be getting the clutch also. You did very well and thank you for sharing

Haha. Yes, I was looking at the Badlands 2200 in the approach camo. It was mainly cause I haven't seen the approach camo in person during that time. But congratulations on the harvest! I wish I could still be out chasing elk and deer. Good luck with notching your deer tag!

Thanks Peter! If you are referring to the front of the bag, I assume those to just be for items that you want to clip onto the bag. I don't use it, so I honestly can't say exactly what it is used for. Wish I could give a more discrete answer for you haha!
