Viewing this video tie made me feel as though I were watching a HD movie in the cinema. The sound track was perfect as well. In my experience, you are the first tier to place the cam corder between the vise and the tier, which is precisely what we would see as we tie our own flies. I believe that you gave all of this some serious thought before you began tying/recording. You are an incredibly skilled tier. Thank you for all the trouble you took on our behalf. Stunning. I'm subscribed.

Stig: another excellent pattern and some fabulous techniques for creation of the wing. I have one question...where did you get your whip finisher? I haven't ever seen that type. Cheers my friend!

I love all your ties! I also like working with CDC. The suggestion I'd have ID to call out the color. I know one guy that ties that is color blind :) makes for interesting bugs sometimes!

Beautiful, as always. I know you said you use a flat 10/0 thread, but what different brands of thread do you use for various applications? Thanks for the great videos, Joe

I Use a lot of different kinds of brands for all my flytying. the White thread i am using in this video is a Danville I think.

seems that this fly could have been simplified and still looked exactly the same only with a few less steps to tying it, tail should have been tied in first, splint the thread with a bodkin needle no need for a dubbing loop, and the ribbing kinda defeated the purpose of using the quil for the body, over all this fly could have been a lot lighter and more likely to "Float" and not sink like a rock

Why didn't you use the rib thread to split the tail?
@SMHAEN

You could do that in this case i dont do it because of the bug bond keep it in place.

very smart fly. I enjoy watching your use of CDC. Could you share the maker of your hackle pliers? It is a never ending quest of mine to find a "better" plier. Keep the uploads coming, I enjoy very much and thanks.

Hi Sshen51, I dont use any special brants, because the quality always change. I look at the bags and always go for the bags looking good. hope you can follow what I mean.
