So worried for him, if he doesn't sign a MAJOR heavyweight boxing fight this year then he will literally fade into irrelevancy. The problem is, he is now in a position of need against the boxing promoters, so they aren't gonna be generous. Important to remember, if Ngannou sells 50k PPV buys for the PFL, they will make 2.5 million in PPV sales. If he doesn't boost his relevancy with a major boxing fight before his PFL debut, he will make what? an extra million from his "HUGE PPV SHARES" Hope it goes well for him, I like the freedom the deal gives him and the pride in helping out African MMA, but he literally would've been King of the World if he fought and beat Jon Jones. With fame and opportunity like nothing else could offer. Now we wait and see if boxing holds up their heavyweight division for what will be see by boxing fans as a "circus fight" and let's one of their big three fight Francis in 2023, if not, this isn't looking good and we will be seeing him vs Werdum or Delija in PFL in mid 2024.

Francis is smart to do whatever will generate the most revenue now and set him up a post-fighting career i.e. having a stake in a promotion. PFL won't care but nobody cares about them. I know that many so called Francis fans ain't gonna put their money where there mouth is and go watch PFL fights when he's on. I'd say Francis got a good deal done when it comes to money because he's fighting nobodies so it's easy for him. UFC won't care because they have many bigger names then Francis. I do not know if it such a good deal for PFL tho? Were do they get all this money when nobody buys the PPV's? Mark these words, He will NOT be relevant by the time he fights in PFL. Fight fans won't be willing to wait another full year just to see him crush a can. Guy could have had 8 mill a fight to first of all fight Jones and if he won it would have shot him into legend status among combat gods. Then another 2 or 3 in UFC also by 8 mill. Only difference here is opportunity to box but my worry is managers and boxers, i doubt they are interested. Fury ain't gonna get excited when all Ngannou is doing is ko'ing cans at PFL. If Francis is happy then good on him but i still have my doubts about this. Guy is banking on everything going smoothly in the combat industry which never happens. PFL has no fucking fighters that give anybody any interest and boxers ain't interested. All he has here is money. waiting till mid 2024 was even more stupid, it's a recipe to fade into irrelevancy. He wanted to box yeah... But its clear no one wants to box him because he has no belt. I bet the only reason he signed with the PFL, is because he will get easy fights to get a belt, talk about how he is the GOAT heavyweight (which he aint) after beating heavyweights who probably have less then 10 fights, and flash the PFL belt around to attract boxing fights because he knew he wasn't going to hold the UFC belt if he fought Jones. Simple, that's why he ran from the fight. Also, you forgot to mention he wanted chairman roles in the PFL. Whose to say he wasn't demanding the same thing from the UFC and he left because they were smart not to give him that? the PFL is moronic for giving a fighter they just signed a chairman position in Africa, when they have no structure in Africa. If they're expanding to Africa and are in the talks to buy Bellator (there're talks of it) then their rating numbers are higher than we first thought. PFL is also apparently going to help him with Boxe so that should help getting his name out there. The company also seems to be more willing to have super fights between other Companies.
