Taufiq Karmali and Lola Kassamali recite Nasir Khusraw’s qasida “Bahaar-e-Dil-e Dostaar-e-Ali" to commemorate Salgirah 2023, Mawlana Hazar Imam's 87th birthday.
Nasir Khusraw, born in 1004 AD in present-day Tajikistan, was a distinguished Persian poet, philosopher, and traveler. A scholar in Islamic and Greek philosophies, mathematics, and astronomy, he became a prominent Isma'ili da’i and was appointed as the Hujjat of Khorasan by the Fatimid Caliphate. His works, including the "Divan" and "Zad al-Musafirin," contribute significantly to Persian literature and Islamic thought.
Nasir Khusraw's "Bahaar-e-Dil-e Dostaar-e-Ali" qasida glorifies Imam Ali (A.S), illustrating the heart of his devotee as ever-filled with his image and knowledge, and emphasizes that even endless praises cannot fully capture Ali's extraordinary qualities. The poem also honors Hussain and Hassan as embodiments of both Imam Ali's (A.S) and Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) legacies.
