Good comment. BAB should not have been executed. BAHA-ULLAH should not have been banished and should not have been imprisoned. They did not committ any crime.

Furthermore, the family of Bahá'u'lláh should not have been shunned and excluded by the Bahá'í cultish organization which calls itself "the Bahá'í Faith". And Ahmad Sohrab should not have been separated from his wife and children because of refusing to obey the organization.

It was Abbas Effendi himself who brought the hatred and arguing to the faith, it is his legacy as much as his extraordinary wisdom, kindness, and might. Idolising people based on myths is dangerous.

If anyone is interested in the recording of this song, it is on one of the "Lift Up Your Voices and Sing" albums. The music was co-written and arranged by Tom Price, co-ordinator and conductor of the Voices of Baha. It is sung by Paul Seaforth, and first performed at the Baha'i World Congress in 1992.

"O SON OF SPIRIT! The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice; turn not away therefrom if thou desirest Me, and neglect it not that I may confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbor. Ponder this in thy heart; how it behooveth thee to be. Verily justice is My gift to thee and the sign of My loving-kindness. Set it then before thine eyes."

This is my favorite song too. If there is one GOD... and we now know there is one humanity in this electronically connected world... then, there has to have also been one religion revealed to man periodically and in various corners of the globe... and thus, it is time for the ultimate global connection into one faith and one family to achieve the ultimate "peace on earth as it is in heaven".

If we are true Bahá'ís speech is not needed. Our actions will help on the world, will spread civilization, will help the progress of science, and cause the arts to develop. Without action nothing in the material world can be accomplished, neither can words unaided advance a man in the spiritual Kingdom. It is not through lip-service only that the elect of God have attained to holiness, but by patient lives of active service they have brought light into the world (Abdu'l-Baha, Paris Talks, p. 80)

Hi @adibreyhani. This song is titled "Look At Me, Follow Me" and is sung by Paul Seaforth in this recording. I think this is the recording from the album "Lift Up Your Voices And Sing". You can also find Mr Seaforth singing it on "Music Of The Baha'i World Congress". Additionally the Voices Of Baha choir recorded it on their album "The Voices Of Baha In Concert" where Van Gilmer was a soloist.

He is, and should for all time be regarded, first and foremost, as the Center and Pivot of Bahá’u'lláh’s peerless and all-enfolding Covenant, His most exalted handiwork, the stainless Mirror of His light, the perfect Exemplar of His teachings, the unerring Interpreter of His Word, the embodiment of every Bahá’í ideal, the incarnation of every Bahá’í virtue, the Most Mighty Branch sprung from the Ancient Root, the Limb of the Law of God, the Being “round Whom all names revolve,” the Mainspring of the Oneness of Humanity, the Ensign of the Most Great Peace, the Moon of the Central Orb of this most holy Dispensation - styles and titles that are implicit and find their truest, their highest and fairest expression in the magic name ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. He is, above and beyond these appellations, the “Mystery of God” - an expression by which Bahá’u'lláh Himself has chosen to designate Him, and which, while it does not by any means justify us to assign to Him the station of Prophethood, indicates how in the person of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá the incompatible characteristics of a human nature and superhuman knowledge and perfection have been blended and are completely harmonized. Shoghi Effendi, The Dispensation of Bahá’u'lláh, paragraph 75

it just means the student is not ready for the education the teachers give. in the way man was not ready for everything that god could give nor are we now. Muhammad, Moses, Zoraster, Budah, Jesus and others were and are our teachers about god. when the time is right another prophet shall emerge and show us more knowledge of god. baha'u'llah is another teacher of the way of god.

"He shall appear in 'The Greatest Name' on the Day of Judgement." This 'local use religion' comprises people from every race and religion in the world. It is true that Muhammad, may my life be a sacrifice to Him, is the 'Seal of the Prophets', but Baha'u'llah has said that The Prophetic Cycle has passed. The Cycle of Fulfillment (cycle of the prophets) has come. Adam thru Muhammad prophesied of the coming of the Day of God, the Day of Resurrection. He has come, in the "Greatest Name"!

Yes you may have sung the chorus, Look at Me, Follow Me" but the melody for verses, Behold a candle...and You are the Angles, were composed in 1992 by Tom Price (my brother), and I sat next to him when he was composing, so I am quite certain about this. In fact I chose the words for the second verse in a hotel room in New York, 1 week before the Congress. This is a bit of history. Lots of Baha'i love, Mel

yes, Bahaullah had given us 100 years to accept Him, and as mankind was so shrivelled up in spirit, they did not accept His message. For that, we are seeing the deterioration of morals and spirituality in mankind, the suffering and the re-incarnation of Sodom and Gomorah, we see everyday on TV and around us, man-made disasters, the wrath of nature on mankind etc etc....until mankind come to acknowledge the latest manifestation of God and accept it. All the previous ONES talked of Bahaullah!!

Dear Sacred Word, Baha'i Social teachings such as The Unity of Mankind, Equality of the Rights and Opportunities for Men and Women, Abolition of Prejudices, World Peace, Balacne of Extremes in Poverty and Wealth, One Auxiliary World Language etc. are progressive and much needed for humanity of today and the centuries to come. Baha'i laws are generally less strict than past religions. Issues that are not mentioned in the Holy books will be referred to the Universal House of Justice.

We laws of the Kitabi Aghdas are in response to the requests of the believers at His time. The rest of the laws including the unprecedented issues not addressed in any religion are referred to the Universal House of Justice, the elected body of the Baha'is of the world. No reason to worry about the Baha'i laws. Baha'is are not going to push them on anybody. If the majority believe a law is good it becomes the law of the land, until then the Baha'is follow the laws of the country they reside.

"The Kitab-i-Aqdas was written in arabic in 1873. The official English translation finished by the year of the Centenary 1992," So, quite oddly, it took the Baha'i controllers 119 years to manage to translate a short Arabic text. As if all Arabic translators had died. But the truth is, E.G. Browne had made translations of the text way back when; Anton Haddad had made a translation by 1901, and the Arabic scholar Earl Elder made a very respectable translation in 1961.

Real "basic principles" of the Baha'i Faith, based on the Baha'i Scriptures, are things like: -- Obedience -- Devotion and reverence for Baha'u'llah -- Magnificence of martyrdom -- Chanting certain phrases or out-loud prayers These are the REAL basic principles. Feminism isn't in any of the founding scriptures. Neither does "harmony of science and religion," and the founders meant science shouldn't violate religious values; Baha'is now take it to mean the opposite: "Science can do no wrong."

@androsaurio1 `Abdu'l-Bahá means "Servant of Bahá." `Abdu'l-Bahá practiced all of the Bahá'í Teachings. He was a true Bahá'í. Everyone that calls themselves Bahá'ís should follow in `Abdu'l-Bahá's footsteps and act as Bahá'ís. `Abdu'l-Bahá never did a bad thing. He was always kind and loving to everyone. He fed the hungry, aided the sick, gave hope to the hopeless, and gave love to those without it. This song is from a quotation from `Abdu'l-Bahá. If only everyone on Earth was `Abdu'l-Bahá.

There must be a connection here, too. Because one of the reasons I left the Baha'i Faith was that too many of the families seemed screwed up, and the kids screwed up. The parents that were the most avid about this externally-oriented religion, the Baha'i Faith, had the most screwed up kids of all. So there must be some reason the Baha'i Faith attracts those kind of parents, and here's 'Abdu'l-Baha who was a neglectful parent. (Though he obviously loved sex.)
