But you measure and rank other youtubers. How can you do that? It's inconsistent. I'm not critisizing you but just asking.

Will you please answer my question? One thing I want to make it clear is that your advice is really helpful. I often mimick native speakers, and I've gradually improved my English pronunciation.

Thank you for making video like this As an American English nerd your video is such an interesting no one ever made video criticizing or analyzing native speakers English or a person who are almost native speakers as far as i know i think the way you mention someone or someone’s English might sound kinda rude to some Japanese so some kinda complain it but i love it and really enjoy your content keep going KY senpai

Thanks for your comment. As you may know, it’s 2024 and a lot of Japanese people still can’t speak English. The reason is not genetic. The reason is teachers don’t teach HOW to become bilingual. Anyway, Summer sensei is a great teacher, she really shows REAL English as it’s spoken in the wild and she takes the time to analyze each phrase. My only real critique is when she would mispronounce things to match the katakana. Again, thanks for the comment and I’ll release the next video soon!

カタカナは日本人英語学習者にとっては非常にしつこい呪縛になる。 「カタカナでもいい」という意見もありますが、それは近道に見えて遠回りになるというのが現実だと思います。 そういう意味で、何でサマー先生がカタカナ表記をしているのか興味がありますね。 In other words, i'm wondering what she thinks of the reality Japanese people face when they actually try to learn English🤪

My Japanese textbook had romaji for the first 3 chapters. Then chapter 4 it said “time to learn Japanese” 😅 lucky for me I studied hiragana before I studied any words so I was actually prepared to read hiragana immediately. I honestly can’t stand romaji. So on the flip side, using katakana to teach English MAYBE has value for the first 3 chapters of a beginner’s English book- in jr high school and only in jr high school. But seriously katakana has zero value because it literally cannot make all the sounds that English has. It’s not a short cut at all. It’s a distraction from the トルース that トルース could be truth or truce. Anyway, it is hard as a KZitemr because you want people to understand the video, but in the case of learning English, as a viewer you literally need to take a break from Japanese and learn English- which is the goal anyway. I have the same problem because I wanna explain stuff so that 100 percent of the people understand. But as I remember watching Japanese TV, nobody put up English subtitles so it should be fair to expect the same when learning English- you learn English by using a dictionary when you don’t understand something 🙏🏻

@@kysennpai I completely agree with you about the problem of using Katakana when learning English. Katakana is not real English sound. That's the reality. No matter how some people try to justify the use of Katakana, it's unfortunately end up just quibbling in light of the reality. PS. I'm really impressed by your flexible and humorous Japanese skill. Not all Japanese people can do that, even if they speak Japanese🤪
